We are big fans of the Akron Zoo, from zoo day trips, special holiday celebrations (like Easter Bunny, Mother’s Day, etc) and birthday parties. The Akron Zoo is now offer a one-day Career Day at the Akron Zoo for kids in grades 5-12. How I wish my 1st grader was old enough since I know it would be such a blast for him. However, for kids in grades 5-12, they are a more suited age for really deciding their life’s career.
Zoorific Career Days are offered on 7 dates from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. The dates fall during Akron area Spring Breaks from school. At Zoorific Career Days, students get to spend time with keepers, animal trainers and education staff to learn about what it is actually like to work at the zoo. Your kids will get to go behind-the scenes, watch animal training, and even feed the penguins!
