Coffee can be just coffee. It can come from your corner shop, it can be whatever someone bought at the office, or it can fulfill a need for your body and mind.
Green Mountain Coffee has stacked the deck in their hand with two coffee offerings available in K-Cup sizes for your Keurig machine- at home or at the office. One for Focus (containing L-Theanine) and the other with the anti-oxidant combination of Vitamin C and E.
I received a sampling of Green Mountain Coffee to facilitate this review. The Green Mountain Coffee Wellness Line for Keurig® single-cup brewers are available in a variety of coffee, tea, and fruit brews.
Green Mountain Coffee Focus Blend
The focus blend by Green Mountain Coffee includes 50mg of something called L-Theanine. Reading the box you honestly don’t get a good view of what L-Theamine is, but, if you check out the entry at wikipedia, you find that L-Theanine is the same Amino-acid that gives green tea its potent ability to reduce stress, improve cognition, and improve your mood- all in coordination with caffeine— What a perfect thing to add to coffee!
Green Mountain Coffee Antioxidant Blend
The antioxidant blend comes as a medium roast coffee. They’ve added just enough Vitamin C and E to make 10% of the recommended daily intake. Any more that that it might spoil the taste- so, they’re giving you as much as you can NOT taste, nifty!!
10% is obviously not enough to live on, but, at 3 cups of coffee a day, you’re a third through with your day and you haven’t had to touch a piece of fruit or a vitamin supplement. Not too shabby for drinking coffee 🙂
Having these around makes me feel better about having my coffee in the morning-this way its not JUST coffee, you know?
This was not a paid post. My own opinions were used based on my perceptions and experience. Thank you to Green Mountain Coffee who provided products for review.
