Rí Rá Irish Pub Review Las Vegas

I’ve never been to Ireland and probably never will, however I felt like I was teleported to Ireland while dining at Rí Rá Irish Pub in Las Vegas.

Rí Rá Irish Pub Las Vegas – Family friendly dining in Las Vegas

Rí Rá Irish Pub is located in Shoppes at Mandalay Bay Place (connects to Luxor).  The pub was meticulously restored in Ireland then shipped to Las Vegas, so all of the surfaces, furniture, and decor is from aged Irish locations.

You can’ t get more authentic than that! The Irish food is fabulous and very kid-friendly as well. This real Irish pub offers an almost surreal setting within the bright and glitzy Vegas.  Leave it to Las Vegas to offer a place like nowhere else in the USA!

There are several dining rooms with different themes throughout the restaurant. I love the Olympia Room with actual paintings and furnishing from the iconic Olympia Theatre, Dublin’s oldest theater.

There are antique, collectible Olympia Threate posters throughout the restaurant.  I love the history and authentic Irish decor this lends to Rí Rá.

You probably recognize Alec Guinness (Obi-Wan Kenobi in Star Wars) below in this poster for his role in “The Prisioner” at Olympia Theatre from 1954.

Like I said, there are several dining areas including several bars, a room for live music, dining for private events, and areas for quieter dining.  I was told that Ri Ra Irish Pub is family-friendly until midnight, so I’m not sure exactly what that means except that there obviously would be more drinking into the night.Rí Rá Irish Pub Review Las Vegas

You may think that Irish cuisine is only stews, cabbage, and corned beef. It is this and so much more! The menu at Rí Rá is sure to satisfy every appetite. If your kids are picky eaters, don’t worry, they have a great kids’ menu too.

We were happy to sample some of their customer favorites like Deviled Scotch Eggs.

Since my kids are both Type One Diabetics, we enjoy eating eggs in a number of ways since they are no-carb foods for meals and snacks. Rí Rá’s Deviled Scotch Eggs were amazing! The white part of the egg is breaded and fried then filled with a creamily deviled yolk mousse. How I wish I had this recipe!!!! Since Ohio is the #2 producer of eggs in the USA, it is likely that these eggs were from Ohio too.

My husband loves Reubens, so he was thrilled to try the Publican Reuben made with signature house brined corned beef like no other corned beef he’s ever tried!

The corned beef was thin grilled with sauerkraut and placed between rye bread with melted swiss and marie rose. It is the ultimate Irish Reuben and a must-try when visiting  Rí Rá in Las Vegas! This dish is served with your favorite side dish, my husband chose sweet potato chips – my kids stole most of them!

My daughter and I have really been into brussels sprout salads lately, so I couldn’t wait to try their Sprout Salad.

This hearty salad was so satisfying, fresh, and delicious. The brussels sprouts were topped with sweet and tart dried cranberries, peppery baby arugula, spiced cashews & a Vermont style maple mustard vinaigrette.  After a week of not-so-healthy vacation eating, I was so happy to enjoy a healthy lunch!

Rí Rá Las Vegas has the best Fish & Chips in Las Vegas!

My son was delighted to try this customer favorite. It is an entire whole fillet of Icelandic haddock perched, making it hearty for any appetite. The beer battered perch is moist and tender on the inside with a lighter than usual batter on the outside. I love this Irish recipe and hope to mimic it at home. We’ve had several fish & chips meals during this West Coast family vacation, each offering something unique and different. I prefer the Irish version over all the other!  This dish is served with a delicious house recipe tartar sauce or a zesty Irish remoulade – both equally tasty, depending on your spice level. The hand-cut fries were a big hit as well.  I highly recommend this dish as well.

There is a great Kid’s Meal to choose from as well, including American favorites and Irish dishes.

My daughter went more traditional with a grilled chicken sandwich and side salad, although she shared some of my brussels sprouts salad as well!

As you may have guessed by my red hair, I have Irish roots and felt very much at home at Rí Rá Irish Pub, the atmosphere, food, music, and friendly Irish staff left me longing for a journey to Ireland, something I never expected in a million years.
