Are you looking for a great kid friendly place to grab dinner with the family? Do you happen to be near Medina Square, if so have you ever tried Dan’s Dogs? We have been eating at Dan’s Dogs for a while now and I wanted to make sure you weren’t missing it on your outings in Medina. With Dan’s Dogs moving on the the next generation of owners they are keeping Dan’s family owned and ready for you!
At Dan’s Dogs you don’t have to worry about the kids. There are small baskets of toys, color pages, books and a small game table. The owners, Paul and Terra have kids of their own and want to welcome your family while helping to keep your children occupied while you wait. They have a kids menu that includes peanut butter and jelly on a hot dog bun! So cute and while my little guy would never eat it that way at home he loves it. The 50’s diner feel makes it fun and inviting!
At Dan’s Dogs you have two size of hot dogs. Regular size which is under $3.00 a dog and Jumbo which are just over $3.00. The menu has lots of topping options, you can get a Chili Coney Dog, a hot dog slathered in delicious chili, or something more unique like Zorba the Greek , A hot dog wrapped in lettuce with tomato, cucumber, black olives, green onion and feta cheese. If you prefer something else just say so… they will do their best to make whatever idea you have a reality.
I hear you. I am very picky about my hot dogs too. At Dan’s Dogs they are all BEEF hot dogs! Still not your cup of tea? Worry not, they have grilled burgers, chicken sandwiches, salads, pitas and more. My favorite dish is a bowl of chili with cheese and onions! Doug’s favorite is The St. Bernard, this bad boy is 1/2 pound monster dog!
Dan’s Dogs Tip
Bring some quarters for the kids. Have them try their hand at getting a white gumball from the gumball machine. If they do they get a root beer float on the house! (Ice cream is made in house.) Just have them hold off on chewing it up and show it to your wait person. They will bring your your special treat. You also might want change for the Jukebox. BUT they do accept Debt and credit cards for your meal! OH and keep your eyes peeled for the Weenie Wagon at local events.
