Eat at Reel Bar (formerly Tony’s Garage during our visit for this post, they changed their name) for the Best Burgers at Put-in-Bay! You’ll enjoy hearty food in a fun atmosphere right in downtown Put-in-Bay. The sign outside of Tony’s Garage says, “First stop at Put-in-Bay”. It just so happened that it was lunch time when we got to Put-in-Bay and it was happily our first stop. During the day, it is a great family place to sit down and enjoy a burger. In the evening and after-dark, it is definitely a party hangout with live music and entertainment.
Whether you sit inside or out on the deck, the atmosphere if fun and family-friendly. When you enter Reel Bar, go all the way to the back to place your order and they’ll bring it out to your table. Or, stop by the bar for your adult beverages.
Reel Bar boasts that they have the best burger on the bay. We agree! They serve only 100% certified Angus beef that is never frozen and always fresh. Check out their menu, it’s amazing! Choose from a 1/3, 2/3, or 1 lb Triple burger, then top it as many of the 15 Free toppings or choose one of their must-have signature burgers! My friend and I split the Garage Burger which was piled high with a double burger, haystack onions, cheddar cheese, buttered mushrooms, bacon, lettuce and tomato. It was the best burger we’ve ever had – on the bay and beyond! It was so good that I almost wished we hadn’t decided to share it. W also shared a delicious chicken salad. It too was yummy and piled high with delicious toppings of grilled chicken, mixed salad, cucumber, tomatoes, onion, cheese, and croutons. Between the burger and the salad, we were stuffed and couldn’t even finish!
Reel Bar offers a Jr. Kids Menu that any kid would love. Choose from a juicy cheese burger, chicken strips, or a hot dog with applesauce or fries and a drink. Our kids were happy campers to say the least! We all know that happy kids = happy trips, so stop by Reel Bar as soon as you arrive at Put-in-Bay!
