Family Fun Dining at Culinary Dropout
Culinary Dropout is located within Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. This gastro-pub looks like a page out of a Pinterest board. Literally, I could see so many aspects of the quirky decor on pins I’ve pinned to try at home. Like the barn wood walls (that I’m adding to my living room and bathroom soon), the exposed pipe decor, fun chandlers, and mixed materials and patterns. The interior is amazing with various seating arrangements for intimate dinners for two to large groups. Our table included a comfy, tufted green couch with wing chairs.
The outdoor seating is even more fun with a view of the pool and corn hole games to play while you chill. The music was a bit too loud outside for us anyway, keeping up with rock ‘n’ roll vibe of the casino. I’m sure it was great while sitting, relaxing on the couches or swimming in the nearby pool. With above 100°, we chose to sit inside, with the floor to ceiling huge wall opens allowing the breeze, sunlight, and view to flow in.
Culinary Dropout offers an extraordinary dining experience, offering you a culinary adventure. We started off with their famous Antipasti.
The chef prepared an amazing assortment of meats, vegetables, and snacks. We enjoyed prosciutto di san daniele, hot capicola, bresaola salumi, prairie breeze cheddar, beemster goat cheese, aged manchego, whipped brie, strawberries with brie & pistachio, bacon & parmesan grissini, and crusty bread. This was a meal in of itself! I’d love to go back for a light lunch or evening snack with another Antipasti assortment!
Another fan favorite for Culinary Dropout are their Soft Pretzels with Provolone Fondue. This hearty appetizer is delicious with super soft pretzels sprinkled with sea salt and delicious, dripping provolone fondue cheese. We had so much fun with this appetizer. This is another item that I’d come back for just as a snack! One order is enough for probably 6 people since the proportions are so generous. We had to be careful not to fill up on it.
Culinary Dropout has the best pork ribs in Vegas. Their pork ribs are smoked for 36 hours, offering an amazingly tender, succulent pork ribs with jalapeno and molasses sauce.
My kids wanted to skip the kids’ menu and try the amazing ribs, so they split an order, which was more than enough food for them! The ribs were so tender, my kids loved them. My son likes spicy food, so it was perfect for him. My daughter had to remove a little of the sauce but loved every bite!
I ordered the Rainbow Trout as I was in the mood for a healthier dish. I was so glad that I did, it was so tasty. I could tell the fish was fresh. This lightly seasoned fish offered a slightly sweet taste, cooked perfectly moist inside. This dish was served with fresh green beans with toasted almonds and caramelized shallot. It was a lovely, satisfying meal.
My husband also opting for a healthier, lighter entree. (After days of being on vacation, we were all ready to eat healthy!) He ordered the Gorgonzola Chicken Salad and was very pleased. He enjoyed the butter lettuce with radicchio and arugula combination. It was topped with smoked almond, tart cherries, and fennel. You can also add grilled chicken or salmon to this salad.
For dessert, our kids enjoyed s’mores! Another Culinary Dropout fan favorite, the S’more dessert offers a delectable creamy chocolate mouse topped with a fluffy marshmallow with crunchies on top. The homemade graham crackers are perfect for dipping! What a fun dessert for kids of all ages.
My husband and I shared a slice of Banana Cream Pie. What a pop of banana flavor! This pie is super creamy with each bite as luscious as the previous. We love fresh whipped cream so we were thrilled with the cinnamon whipped cream on top – as well as the caramel sauce on bottom.
What I love about Culinary Dropout is that their food is sophisticated and adventurous while in a casual, fun setting. You don’t have to dress up to enjoy good food and good times at Culinary Dropout. Culinary Dropout is a great place to hang out with friends and family while enjoying a variety of delicious, flavorful foods.
