My husband and I enjoyed date-night at Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse in Fairlawn, Ohio recently and had such a lovely time. It is the perfect place to celebrate life’s special moments together with family and friends. Their dinner specials run seasonally and are worth checking out. During our visit, we enjoyed their Perfect Pairings menu that offers a three-course meal for a flat price. 
From the moment we walked through the doors at Fleming’s, we knew we were going to have a remarkable evening. The restaurant is gorgeous both inside and outside with a professional, friendly staff immediately greeting us. I recommend making a reservation, especially during the weekend or during the holidays. We have visited Fleming’s a handful of times and have received the same attentive service each time, whether during busy times and not.
We chose to order from the Perfect Pairing Summer of Love menu because who can resist both an appetizer (first course) and dessert (third course)?!
Fleming’s is known for their tender Filet Mignon steak – it is unprecedented. I order it every time because it never disappoints. The Perfect Pairing menu offers the choices of a 12 oz Filet Mignon with Collosal Crab & Shrimp or with Sauteed Mushrooms, or with Blackberry Glaze. You can also choose to order the Prime Tomahawk Ribeye as your main course.
Each menu item has a perfect pairing suggestion for wine or you can use their interactive wine menu at the table to choose a wine based on your preference.
We visited Fleming’s on a weeknight so it was a quieter evening. We could tell many people were there celebrating birthdays or anniversaries. It is the perfect place to really treat your loved ones to an amazing dining experience right in Fairlawn, Ohio. Our server asked if we were celebrating anything, we joked that we were celebrating back-to-school and having a date night to ourselves. You don’t need a special occasion to celebrate your love for your spouse. We all have hectic lives, making time for each other is a special occasion so why not celebrate!
We knew that we wanted to start dinner off with bruschetta and ordered a deconstructed version as soon as we arrived. It was super fresh with blistered tomatoes, fresh greens, and an amazing sauce.
With our Perfect Pairings menu, we also had a similar menu item of Campari Tomato Bruschetta with housemade burrata, blistered tomatoes, crostini, and balsamic glaze. We loved the double helping of freshness! 
My husband loves mushrooms and ordered the Main Flet Mignon with Sauteed Mushrooms. Drenched in garlic butter with sauteed shitake and beech mushrooms, it hit the spot!
His filet was perfect, cooked medium.
We added on Fleming’s signature side of au gratin potatoes. I order them every time because it is the ultimate comfort food with layers and layers of thinly sliced potatoes with luscious oozing cheese.
I’m a big fan of both Filet Mignon and colossal shrimp so I knew right away that the Main Filet Mignon with Colossal Crab & Shrimp would delight me.
Although many enjoy Filet Mignon medium, I enjoy mine well done. Fleming’s served utter perfection with this 12 oz steak. I was stuffed with such a large meal and was happy to bring home leftovers.
The Perfect Pairings menu comes with a final course of your choice of Fleming’s signature desserts. I had plans to enjoy their chocolate lava cake from the beginning. I loved every single bite. Nothing compares to the decadent chocolate cake with a hot chocolate sauce flowing out from the middle. Paired with fresh raspberries and ice cream and it is a dessert straight from Heaven.
You can’t tell how happy I am with this chocolate lava cake, can you?! 🙂 I told my husband that I’d love to come back just to enjoy dessert sometime – we always say things like that but never think to just go out for dessert though. I love dining at Fleming’s but wouldn’t mind coming back just for this dessert because it is that good. Don’t even think about skipping dessert.
In the end, we were joking with our server about not having a special occasion to celebrate like so many do at Fleming’s. Of course being with the same amazing man for 23 years is worthy of celebrating anytime. She was so sweet that she brought us a small box of truffles to celebrate our love and date night. We are such amazing parents that we shared those chocolates with our children when we got home – they were very appreciative. 
Whether you have a milestone to celebrate or just want to celebrate friendship and love, I recommend celebrating with a three-course meal at Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar. It is a truly special place for a memorable evening with loved ones.
