As I sit here nursing myself back to health from strep throat, nothing could be better than cup after cup of hot tea that I am enjoying from Green Mountain Coffee Roasters. Bigelow English Breakfast Tea
Breakfast Tea is a black tea and is actually the 2nd most consumed beverage on the planet, second to water! Black tea offers many health benefits. It may lower your risk for diabetes, high cholesterol, kidney stones, and Parkinson’s disease. It could even possibly protect you from osteoporosis and lung cancer!
I like to get my morning started with a rich, smooth cup of Bigelow English Breakfast Tea. In the early morning, every little convenience helps – like pressing just one button for a fresh brewed cup of tea in my Keurig. Oh, I should thank the inventor!
I started drinking breakfast tea a few years ago. It is a darker, more robust tea. It is a full-bodied tea that also offers a pick-me-up in the morning as it contains caffeine.

Green Tea is my absolute favorite kind of tea. I started drinking it as a young adult and have been hooked since.
Green tea actually offers the most antioxidants and beneficial polyphenols than all other teas because it is made from un-oxidized leaves and is the least processed. It has less caffeine than English Breakfast Tea by about 1/4th. Green Tea is known for helpful polyphenols that act as an anti-inflammatory and anti-carcinogenic. This is good in helping preventing cancer, heart disease, and even Type 2 diabetes.
