As a mom, I am constantly looking for ways to help my family be healthy, especially in the kitchen. Kashi is passionate about good, all-natural foods. Sounds like a match made in Heaven! I’ve seen Kashi in stores for years now but never tried them. I was happy to try the two of Kashi’s Top Kid Friendly Foods.
Kid-Friendly Foods by Kashi
I am a pretty proud mama when it comes to what my kids eat. From the beginning, we’ve introduced them to a variety of foods. They don’t like everything but have to at least try one bite. I found some great advice on the Kashi website on how to get kids to eat new foods including:
- Make what you want them to eat both a regular ingredient in your meals and widely available in your kitchen
- Don’t assume they won’t like it
- Don’t sneak it in (at least not at the beginning)
- Expose them to as much as possible
Kashi has a great variety of foods that kids and adults alike will agree are delicious and good for you. Kashi has a list of foods that kids love best called Kashi’s Kid-friendly Top 10. #1 Kashi Peanutty Dark Chocolate Bars and #2 Kashi Cinnamon Harvest Cereal
Kashi Peanutty Dark Chocolate Bars Review
#1 on the Kid-friendly Top 10 are Kashi Peanutty Dark Chocolate Bars. It’s no wonder! Kids and adults alike will enjoy each layer of this chocolate granola bar. It is made with chewy granola, roasted peanuts, peanut butter, fruit spread mixed with dark chocolate. What I like is that each bar contains 7 whole grains, 4 g fiber, 4 g of protein and real fruit. I like that they are packed with good for you ingredients, without all the artificial flavors, preservatives and No high frutose corn syrup.

My kids like that they can enjoy a chocolate treat in their school lunches or after school snack. It is a great tasting bar that is chewy and satisfying. It is a hardy bar that is excellent to get your through the afternoon or as a treat while hiking trails.
There are even more delicious snack bar varieties here if peanut butter isn’t your favorite.
Kashi Cinnamon Harvest Cereal Review
#2 on the Kid-friendly Top 10 is Kashi Cinnamon Harvest Cereal. This delicious cereal taste so good that I double checked the nutrition label to see if it was good for you! Cinnamon Harvest Cereal is bite-sized organic whole-wheat biscuits lightly sweetened with organic evaporated cane juice crystals and baked with real cinnamon. It is good for you too with 20% of your daily fiber and practically all of your daily recommended whole grain intake (47g out of 48g recommended whole grains), plus it is low fat and sodium free.

The most important part for kids is that it is delicious!! It is my #1 favorite cereal now. The cinnamon flavor is outstanding, I’ve never tasted anything with such a good cinnamon flavor. I think that I like the evaporated cane juice crystals too because the sweetness wasn’t an overly sugary sweetness, but a natural, tasty sweetness. Just trust me, you should try this cereal out!
