The T. Marzetti Company makes it easy to eat healthier without sacrificing taste with their new Simply Dressed® & Light Refrigerated Salad Dressings. I personally try to buy low calorie dressing to cut down on calories, however when guest come over, I buy the “real” stuff so I’m offering the best in flavor. Many people don’t like the reduced calorie dressings. I’m so excited about this new Simply Dressed & Light dressing because you can’t even tell it is a light dressing.
The new Marzetti Simply Dressed dressings are found in the refrigerated section at your local grocery store’s produce department. All the ingredients are all-natural, like extra virgin olive oil, canola oil and sea salt. They contain no preservatives, trans fats, high fructose corn syrup, MSG or artificial flavors.
Simply Dressed & Light dressings are offered in 5 varieties: Light Blue Cheese, Light Ranch, Light Caesar, Light Celery Seed Slaw and Light Raspberry Acai. We were able to sample each and my family likes them all.
My favorite is the Light Celery Seed Slaw. Of course you could make a great cole slaw with it, however I really like it as a tossed salad dressing. I’ve never tried this flavor before, it most reminds me of a sweet & sour type of dressing. My kids like it too, which is great because they normally only opt for Ranch. It, as well as all the creamy dressings are made with yogurt as the key ingredient, making it lower in calories.
The Light Ranch taste delicious. Ranch is a flavor that can be difficult to enjoy in a light version. I couldn’t even tell that the Marzetti Simply Dressed & Light Ranch was light and lower in calories. Neither could my kids!
Honestly, we enjoyed all 5 flavors. Each offers it’s own unique flavor and taste, with lots of flavor. I can highly recommend this line to anyone seeking a healthier lifestyle or a great salad dressing. Plus, it is an Ohio based company out of Columbus, Ohio, another good reason to buy Marzetti is to support a local Ohio business.
