I shop at Sam’s Club all the time, however, there are a few things that I’ve skipped because the quantity and packaging is too overwhelming. One of those things has been cereal. Now, Cheerios is offering new packaging! You can still get the great price at Sam’s Club, Costco, or BJ’s on the double box size, however, the 2 boxes pull apart. This makes storing and pouring the cereal a ton easier at home!
For those of us being environmentally friendly, also take note that the new Cheerios packaging is more environmentally responsible too. The new Cheerios packaging fits 10% more cereal before by reducing the amount of air in each bag and uses less packaging. This may not seem like much when you pick up one box at the store but when you add it all us, that equals over 200,000 lbs which equals 1,000 trees, which also takes 130 Cheerios trucks off the road. This small packaging upgrade is making big changes!
This is a good change for my family and something that I hope other General Mills cereals do as well. If I can get good prices and still have the convenience of smaller packaging, I will start buying more cereal at Sam’s Club for sure.
