I have been trying to get away from processed foods. I want to provide my family with healthy meals that not only taste good today but will benefit their development and choices in the future. We are eating more whole foods and I feel good about it. One thing I haven’t dived into until now is snack food. I learned about The Pure Bar recently because of an incredible contest they are holding. I’m so glad they got my attention because the Pure Bars are even more amazing than the contest (although I wouldn’t mind winning a trip to Costa Rica).
The Pure Bar Review
Pure Bar offers certified-organic snacks that are a natural, healthy choice. Pure Bars are gluten-free, raw, vegan, and vegetarian. Pure Bars contain omega-3s, low sodium, 4 g organic fiber, healthy antioxidants, and 1.5 servings of fruit. Pure Bars do NOT contain refined sugar, no artifical ingredients, no preservatives, no transfats, no cholesterol, no dairy, no gluten or soy, and no GMOs.
We are gradually going toward organic, all natural foods but it is a slow process. I admit that my husband and I were skeptical when we read the ingredients on the Pure Bars that we were sent. How good can a snack bar be with NO sugar? Seriously. With the right combination of fruits and nuts, it can be even better! Let me tell you that we were blown away with how incredible Pure Bars taste! Forget how healthy they are. Forget that I can read and understand every ingredient on the package. They taste marvelous!

We liked every single Pure Bar we tasted. Each was true to the flavors on the package. Lots and lots of flavor with the right amount of chewiness and perfect mix of fruits and nuts. Our #1 favorite was the chocolate brownie. It is the best, fudgiest dark chocolate brownie we’ve ever had. And by far it was the healthiest!
Okay, so let’s not actually forget how healthy Pure Bars are. I love how they list their ingredients on the front of the package because they have nothing to hide! After listing out the ingredients, the package reads “and that’s all!” Don’t you just love it!? You’d expect something at the end that you can’t understand or sugar or something! With Pure Bars, you can have delicious, sweet snacks that are healthy too.
Win a Trip to Costa Rica from The Pure Bar
Remember how I told you about the incredible contest? You could win a trip to Lapa Rios Ecolodge in Costa Rica courtesy of Pure Bar. Set in 1000 private acres of rainforest, Lapa Rios overlooks the gorgeous wild Pacific Ocean. Hike through the rainforest with staff naturalists; you can hang 10 in the surf, kayak into the sunset or marine watch via ocean mangrove boats. Relax with yoga, massage, or in a hammock overlooking the heavenly beaches.
Enter to win on The Pure Bar Facebook Page. Hurry! Grand prize winner will be drawn on February 21, 2011. Plus, you are entered to win free pure bars.
Buy Pure Bars
You can purchase Pure Bars on the The Pure Bar webiste or locally, click here for store nearest you. For the Akron area, you can find Pure Bars at Mustard Seed Market, Buehler’s, Whole Foods, Trader Joes, and Nature stores.

Pure Bars are made from fruits and nuts wrought by nature, and they don’t like to strip them of their essence before they get to our mouths
That means that all of their bars are cold-processed and made with whole, simple, organic ingredients, resulting in a higher nutrient density and fewer toxins than in cooked alternatives.
I learned they are ok for gluten free diets

I’ve always been intimidated by a raw diet, it seems it would be so difficult to sustain. But I read this on the Pure website: “Choosing raw doesn’t mean you have to adhere to some freakish diet plan where you only eat grass and drink water. Making the decision to eat unprocessed foods, even only once a day, can help you to consume the vitamins, fiber, and antioxidants that your body needs. Even small choices can make a big impact”. I like the idea that you don’t have to have an entirely raw diet to get some benefits!
i’ve learned that a sugar free snack bars taste marvelous!! didin’t think that before! hope to win these vegan bars now! finger crossed!!

Hi Susan, You did the 1st entry right, just had to tell me something you learned from the Pure Bar website. I will email you with hints on how to do the extra entries too. I’m coming up with a tutorial to post later to help people too. I don’t want it to be confusing, just give you chances to enter to win. 🙂
Blogging around and found your blog. I am trying to learn how to enter give aways. It gets complicated sometimes they all have different requirements. So I hope I am doing this right. Since I am a vegatarian, I had to try to enter this one. I went to the pure bar website and what I learned and found interesting is that they lower the ingestion of toxins. That is so imporant.
Thank you for letting me enter and visit.
