With the cooler weather, a soup and sandwich bar sounds perfect for week night dinner and even casual parties. I was delivered an All-Star Sandwich Bar from Schwan’s Home Service last week and we have really enjoyed it! The 3 things I like most about Schwan’s is that the food is delicious, quick to prepare, and delivered to my door. You just can’t beat it.
We received samples to facilitate this post.
I served up Schwan’s new Grilled Cuban Style Panino and the new Grilled Southwest Style Chicken Panino for dinner tonight.
My favorite was the Cuban Style Panino with pork, ham, mustard, cheese, and pickle relish. It was wrapped in a thick, soft grilled dough.
I loved the flavor combination, especially with the mustard and pickle relish. My husband enjoyed it too, which is amazing since he doesn’t like mustard. My kids like it too. It was big enough for a meal but we split them in 1/2 and served with a side of soup. Preparing it was super easy, I thawed out a few minutes in the microwave and finished it in the oven. It couldn’t be easier. It would excellent for casual gatherings at home too.
The Grilled Southwest Style Chicken Panino was a hit too, although a bit spicy for my 6 year old daughter. It is a grilled chicken panino with fire roasted veggies, bacon, cheese, and spicy salsa. The dough is thick and grilled – delicious.
When prepared with the microwave (to thaw) and oven to grill, the dough wrap comes out soft and delicious with the inside fillings hot and delicious. This would go perfectly with Schwan’s Waffle Fries.
You’ve gotta try Schwan’s Loaded Baked Potato Soup, it’s amazing. My whole family loved it! It has a delicious creamy chicken stock with chunks of skin-on potatoes, bacon, chives, cheddar cheese, and sour cream.
The container said it serves 3, so I prepared 2 containers and had way too much. That was ok because we will have it for leftovers. 1 container for a family of four is right-on if served with an entree like the panino wraps. It would also be tasty as an entree with a thick piece of fresh bread. It is a hearty soup just perfect for the cool months ahead.
Schwan’s makes the colder months warmer and tastier with their Fall sandwiches, soups, and fries. It is an easy way to make everyone happy for dinner this week. Plus, an easy way to throw a Fall party with a soup and sandwich bar.
