Make your Easter celebration extraordinary this year with a traditional Easter feast.
This is a sponsored post for Whole Foods Market 365. Opinions and recipes are my own.
I’ve taken traditional menu items found across the globe for Easter to prepare this menu for you made with healthier ingredients from Whole Foods Market 365. It is visually stunning and even more delicious to eat. This menu is sure to impress your family and guests, reflecting the importance of both Easter and them to you.
This Easter feast includes my Balsamic Glazed Crown Roast of Lamb Stuffed with Roasted Vegetables Recipe, Watercress Arugula Spring Salad, and a Naked Carrot Cake with Chocolate, Cream Cheese Frosting, Fresh Fruit, and Caramel Sauce for dessert.
Lamb is a traditional Easter food from around the globe. The lamb represents Jesus as the “Lamb of God,” symbolizing innocence and purity. It is a good reminder on the true meaning of Easter and a decadent choice for the main course. What I like most about lamb is that it is a crowd-pleaser while being incredibly easy and quick to prepare.
Whole Foods Market 365 in Akron has a really nice assortment of lamb, including rack lamb. You’ll need two for this recipe.
Roasted fresh vegetables stuffed into the lamb crown is an impressive side dish! My recipe includes eye-catching colors with tri-color carrots, potatoes, celery, shallots, and onions.
I also serve this dish with buttery steamed broccolini for the ultimate Easter feast side dish.
The combination of delicate sweetness and full earthiness of the vegetables complete this main course.
I pair this traditional Easter feast with a light Watercress Arugula Spring Salad with fresh radishes, feta cheese, and a vinaigrette dressing.
To be honest, you could easily just pick up any packaged salad at Whole Foods Market 365 to get a similar side salad and everyone would be happy. They have the most selection of anywhere I’ve shopped on bagged salads!
Make it easy on yourself and just purchase a vinaigrette dressing instead of making your own too. Whole Foods Market 365 has a nice selection in both the produce section and main grocery store.
For dessert, enjoy my naked carrot chocolate cake that is loaded with fresh fruits and drizzled with caramel sauce.
I chose to make this cake ‘naked’ to limit the sugar in the recipe, taking the entire exterior layer of a traditional carrot cake off results in fewer calories and carbs per serving while giving a show-stopping look.
What I really like about shopping at Whole Foods Market 365 is that I know that everything I put in my cart is healthier for my family with no artificial flavors or sugar. This goes for the baking items as well! Plus, the prices are really good, especially on their spices.
My family was able to enjoy this traditional Easter feast over the weekend. It was quite the treat! Everyone loved the presentation and flavor combinations of this very special meal.
This meal can easily serve 8 people.
I purchased about 95% of the ingredients for this feast for just $92. I had a few items like flour and a couple spices already at home. It all balances out in the end as I have many leftover items that I didn’t use for the recipes (spices, vegetables, nuts, fruit, cheese, mustard, salad dressing) from my shopping trip after preparing the meal.
You can easily serve this traditional Easter feast for 8 guest for $90 or less by shopping at Whole Foods Market 365. This is a really fair price for such an extraordinary holiday celebration meal.
