Soak City is the perfect way to cool off and relax in the heat of the day, but filled with equally as thrilling fun! We went to Cedar Point during one of the many 95+ degree days this summer. The water rides at Cedar Point cool you off but Soak City is where all the water fun and relief is!
We started our days off at Cedar Point with the early entry we go through staying at Hotel Breakers. Read my Hotel Breakers Review. After lunch, we spent the afternoon at Soak City to cool off during the heat of the day. We went back to Cedar Point for the afternoon and evening. Having the 2 day Ride & Slide pass made our visit to Cedar Point more relaxing and enjoyable. We even had time to hang out at the petting zoo, museums, and shops by going for two days instead of just one.

Cedar Point Luminsoity
Cedar Point’s Luminosity Ignite the Night is the newest addition to entertainment. When the sun goes down, Cedar Point is just getting started with entertaining guests. This new multimillion dollar entertainment addition is a dance party is full of surprises. The 40 minute show has dancers, singers, and performers on the large stages. It is an audience participation show!
My kids are still young, so being at the park after 9pm is a stretch. We stayed for a good portion of the show but the target market is teens through adults. We did really enjoy all of the special effects like the shooting flames, fireworks, giant spotlights of white, blue, red searching the sky and across the audience. Nearby rides and the entire midway were illumiated and flashing to the music. Cedar Point really knows how to “Ignite the Night” and energize an audience of tired amusement park go-ers! Once we were back in our suite at Hotel Breakers, we were able to enjoy the rest of the show with a beautiful view of the fireworks and special effects.
Dinosaurs Alive!
New this year at Cedar Point is the brand new Dinosaurs Alive! This amazing exhibit has life-size dinosaurs that will amaze the young and adults. Read my full Cedar Point Dinosaurs Alive! Cedar Point Fast Lane Tickets
When you purchase Fast Lane tickets, you can speed through 20 of your favorite rides! We didn’t experience the tickets but I spoke with those that did. They were able to ride more rides than they could even handle! For instance, my son and husband rode the Millennium Force. It was my son’s first major roller coaster!
[slickr-flickr tag=mforce]They waited in line for nearly 1 hour. With the Fast Lane ticket, another family went on the same ride 4 times! There is an extra charge for Fast Lane tickets, but you get way more out of Cedar Point than you could ever imagine!
PEANUTS Characters Welcome Woodstock with FREE Kids Tickets
My kids love the PEANUTS characters that entertain and give hugs throughout Cedar Point. The popular Woodstock has landed and has joined the PEANUTS characters at Cedar Point. This week is the “PEANUTS Be Yourself Week”. (July 30-August 5, 2012) Receive $15 off your regular adult admission tickets bought at the gate for any new animal care product donated at Cedar Point.
