Some clothing lines are so uniquely styled that you can identify them from a mile away. Tea Collection clothing has that stand out styling – I admire its internationally-inspired look, and can spot it on kids and moms where ever I go! I was fortunate enough to review some girls’ clothing from Tea Collection last year (see my review here). The outfits we reviewed became favorites of both of my girls. This year, I am happy to share some of Tea Collection’s Bali girl’s clothing line AND a blouse from their Women’s line. Yes, ladies, we can wear their fantastic designs too!
A Little About Clothing From Tea Collection
Tea Collection is based out of San Francisco. They are a company that produces high quality, modernly-styled clothing for boys and girls sizes newborn to 12, and has a women’s line as well. Within their children’s clothing lines, they offer Tea Collection “wardrobe sets,” where a group of coordinating outfits can be purchased for your favorite boy or girl, giving them clothing option after option by mixing and matching within the set. Talk about a great gift idea!
Each season, they draw their design inspiration from a different part of the world. Countries whose flora, fauna, and cultures have inspired Tea Collection clothing in the past are: Mexico, Japan, Korea, Old World Hungary, West Africa, and several more.
Travel opens our hearts and minds. The clothing we create at Tea transforms the foreign world into a smaller, friendlier and more familiar place. We believe that we bring a little bit of that world home to you. ~Emily Meyer, Co-Founder and Chief Creative Officer
Our Experience with Clothing from Tea Collection
Having had the pleasure of my girls wearing Tea Collection clothing before, we knew we were in for a treat once again! The quality, styling, and unique patterns make for such cute outfits! This year, my girls each chose a sundress from the Bali Collection. Lila opted for the sassy, dramatic styling of the Flowy Dip Dye Dress (boy did she pick true to her personality!). It’s such a fun dress. Beyond the absolutely adorable styling is a comfortable, breathable dress that works as well for swinging outside with friends as it does for heading to church. Lila looks and feels special in this dress. I love how nicely it wears, and that it needs only a quick touch up with the iron after coming out of the dryer. The hemline is shorter in the front, and longer in the back
Dip Dye DressAlyssa, my nine year old, had a hard time choosing (who wouldn’t?), but finally decided on the Plumeria Ruffle Hem Dress. The combination of colors on this dress is just gorgeous! The deep ruffle at the bottom adds a feminine flair to a decidedly easy-to-wear dress. So far, Alyssa has worn it while riding her scooter, to school, and out to dinner. It looks so pretty on her. This one comes out of the dryer needing no touch ups…score!
Plumeria Ruffle Hem DressNow to my gorgeous find…
When I browsed the Tea Collection online catalog, the Batik Floral Print top immediately caught my eye. Who can resist a batik-style print in gorgeous, modern tones? Not me! I loved the wide, flowy sleeves, the longer tunic length, and the detail of the matching belt around the waist.
Tea Collection ClothingI was SOOOO excited for our delivery to arrive! And once it did, I was not disappointed. In fact, all of the clothing we ordered was even more beautiful in person! Now I must admit that the top I ordered for myself was a bit more expensive than my typical purchases for myself ($78). BUT, I love it so much, and it fits so well that I wear it often, and know that I’ll more than get my money’s worth out of it. I feel pretty, confident, and “with it” in my Tea Collection top! It’s so versatile too – I’ve dressed it up with dress pants and heels, and dressed it down with jeans and flats. Either way it is comfortable and flattering. The fabric blend used is obviously high quality. It feels almost silky to the touch, and wears beautifully.
