Survey Says!
In April 2016 ORC International collected data via an online survey from a random sampling of approximately 1,000 adults. This survey showed some interesting things. Nearly a third of Americans (31%) say that they would choose to use a fan while sleeping to break the silence! The top three items that Americans say contribute to their best night sleep are bedding (48%), Fans (38%) and Blackout Curtains (25%). And this struck me the most interesting: Of the Americans who use a fan for sleep,a quarter (25%) of those who run fans while sleeping say they use it for the white noise. So what does this tell us? We like to be comfortable and temperature is important to us, sound is also! So Honeywell is giving us a 2 in 1!
Finding Balance Between Sound and Cooling
For me if I am too hot I can forget all about sleeping. I will toss and turn and kick a foot out, whatever I can to cool down. I also use a fan to cover up some of the sounds outside our house. We live near both a Fire Station and Police department so we often have sirens going down the road. Doug’s work schedule often changes which means sometimes he is trying to sleep while the kids and I are home during the day. So he NEEDS a Fan/white noise machine to cancel out the kids playing/talking etc. With Our new Honeywell QuietSet tower fan we are getting exactly what we need. Sound and a wonderful cooling fan! This fan is awesome!
Settings and Sound
The eight setting options are wonderful! I love that I can set the Honeywell QuietSet tower fan to whatever I need. The lower the fan setting the quieter. The 8 settings lowest to highest: Sleep, Whisper, Calm, White Noise, Relax, Refresh, Cool, and Power Cool! Power Cool will blow you away! I’m so surprised by how much air movement this fan puts out! You can also set the fan to oscillate, there is a timer setting for 1,2,4 and 8 hours. My favorite is the DIMMER button.. this is genius! You can change the level of brightness for the display, so it doesn’t keep you awake at night!
