SodaStream Home Soda Maker Review

I am bit of a soda junkie, I love my soda so when I found SodaStream Home Soda Maker, I was intrigued and a little skeptical. I just had to try this product and am glad that I did. SodaStream provides great-tasting and better-for-you carbonated drinks, is easy to use and is good for the environment. I’m so glad that I found this soda option for my family and want to tell you all about it!

My family’s hands-on review of SodaStream Home Soda Maker

My family has had so much fun making our very own soda with SodaStream. We had the opportunity to sample 9 delicious soda flavors and 3 sparkling water flavors. Each day, we look forward to trying something new with dinner.  We’ve sampled Grape, Energy, Cranberry-Raspberry, Orange, Ginger Ale, Diet Cola, Diet Lemon-Lime, Diet Root Beer, and Diet Grapefruit. There wasn’t any flavor that we disliked; they were all delicious.

My kids love, love, love the Orange and Grape flavors and I don’t mind giving them SodaStream soda since there is no high-fructose corn syrup (in regular flavors), and has significantly less sugar, less carbs, less calories, less sodium, and less caffeine than the manufactured in-store brands. See nutritional information.

My husband enjoys the energy drink the best, it tastes just like Red Bull! My favorite flavor is Cranberry Raspberry, it’s light, sweet, and refreshing. I also really like the Diet Pink Grapefruit, which really did taste like Diet Fresca®.  The diet flavors were very tasty and full of flavor. I like that they are sweetened with Splenda® brand sweetener, not aspartame.  One of the best things about the SodaStream Soda Maker is that you can customize your drinks with as much or little carbonation as you like and as much flavoring as you like.

There are more than 30 flavors to choose from which is much more than available at the grocery store. Storing the flavorings takes up a fraction of the space that traditional soda in bottles or cans take, 1 small bottle equals 33 cans! The SodaStream carbonator makes an equivalent to 170 or 310 aluminum cans! Try storing that much soda in your pantry! The carbonator is refillable as well.

I just recently had a small party and everyone had a great time making their own soda creations! There were many comments on the variety & taste of the flavors. They had never seen anything like this before. I loved that it saved me a lot of money on party drinks. Each 12oz drink is only about 25 cents each! The sparkling water is just 25 cents per liter!

SodaStream Home Soda Maker is easy to use

You won’t believe how easy it is to make soda at home, so I made a quick video to show you. In about 30 seconds, you can make soda from your tap water to serve your family. My kids had fun watching the carbonation go into the water! There is no electricity or batteries required so it is easy to take on vacation, on the boat, camping, to a party, etc. Clean up is so easy as it is just 1 bottle, which is BPA Free to hand-wash.

SodaStream Home Soda Maker is Good for the Environment

picture of Earth Friendly SodaStream Home Soda MakerThe SodaStream is convenient, usually products that are ‘convenient’ aren’t so good on the environment. This is not the case with SodaStream. Say goodbye to all of plastic bottles and cans that you have to lug around and then try to recycle. (80%of bottles do not get recycled in the U.S.)

With SodaStream, you are reducing your CO2 footprint every time you use the SodaStream instead of buying from the store, this is an “Active Green” product. By using SodaStream, less plastic and aluminum is manufactured which means less waste is created. Plus, you are reducing pollution by cutting out the transportation of traditional bottled soda from distributors to stores and then to your home. This is a huge benefit to the environment.

Buy SodaStream Home Soda Maker

I highly recommend this product for you and your family. I could also see this as a great gift for a wedding, housewarming, birthday, or Christmas.  Buy SodaStream on Amazon.com.

This was not a paid post. My own opinions were used based on my perceptions and experience. Thank you to SodaStream who supplied the products for the review and giveaway.

My wife likes the regular stuff, which I don’t like at all, so I was looking over the diet varieties and really want to try Zero Cola and Diet Pink Grapefruit. Wish me luck!

  21. Tricia Hall says:

I would be interested to see how the cherry cola holds up to other brands that I enjoy. Cola is probably the best of the various varieties and cherry cola is my favorite. I even like just taking regular cola and adding grenadine.

I would also like to try the rootbeer. You can’t really go wrong with root beer in my opinion.

I will be interested to see how these 2 compare with store bought brands. I hope I win so I can find out. I’m a child of the 80s and I remember the cola wars and the taste test phenomenon. It would be kinda fun to be a kid again and get to experiment.

diet rb and the reg rootbeer- love the space saving of not having to buy bottles and trash them and then the no electricity

I posted your badge on my blog sidebar, BUT the code for it is completely borked. The image is broken: https://www.akronohiomoms.com/aombadge125×125.jpg (file not found) and the mix of smart (curvy) quotes and regular quotes gave Blogger hives, and it added new quotes to replace the smartquotes…thus resulting in two quotes in some places and one quote in others, and breaking the badge completely.

But I grabbed your image location from the actual badge and fixed the quotes, so it’s here: http://lolmybloglol.blogspot.com/

I’d suggest replacing all the smart quotes with regular quotes?
