MD Moms Baby Silk Gentle All-Over Clean Hair & Body Wash Review

Image of MD Moms Gentle All Over Clean Hair and Body Wash

I am a red head with sensitive skin. Although my kids have my husband’s blonde hair, they  have my sensitive skin. I have always been amazed (and discouraged)  at all of the highly perfumed baby products on the shelves today. I have always loved the natural, clean smell of a baby. And of course, my nose and their skin agreed – no perfumes for us.

I found an incredible product line for all moms that want hypoallergenic, phthalate free, sulfate free, and preservative free products for their children. Baby Silk  by MD Moms is a personal care line for babies developed by pediatrician moms with years of Pediatric and Mom experience.  Baby Silk products are made with the purest ingredients. You won’t find additives like lanolin, petroleum, and mineral oil.

Once I find something safe for my family, I stick with it. I am usually reluctant to try something new. I felt at ease when I read about MD Moms and their hypoallergenic, gentle product line. Let me tell you, I am glad I tried it.

Baby Silk Gentle All-Over Clean Hair & Body Wash Review

We tried the Baby Silk Gentle All-Over Clean Hair & Body Wash. First off, I like that it is a full body and hair wash, this is one less step in the bathing process. Don’t let the 8 oz size fool you, it is concentrated so you do not use much at all, it lasts and lasts. The pump is also very convenient to use. Like I said MD MOMS is made up of pediatrician moms, the pediatrician side of them makes sure the product is safe for our kids, the mom side of them make it easy for moms to use. They know the importance of a packaging. The flat bottom keeps the product stable and the easy to use pump makes it one less step for the mom with the wiggling baby. Simply genius.

Now, for the actual product. From the first pump, you can see why they name this Baby Silk. It is creamy and soft. The body wash suds up quickly and the lather remains. It goes on smooth and rinses easily off the skin. Your baby’s skin will be noticeably softer and smoother. I’m not kidding. It does not leave a greasy layer or anything on their skin but it is just a nice, clean, smooth feel. Ok, for the smell. It is a nice, clean, sweet smell. No heavy perfumes here. Believe me, my nose goes crazy around any perfumes but not with this gentle product.

My kids are older, ages 3 and 5, however, we have to watch what we use on their delicate skin. I wish we had this when they were infants, I know we would have not suffered as many rashes and had to try so  many products.  I’ve even personally used this product on my skin and it feels amazing. It is great as a mild facial cleanser for both moms and dads.

    I’d love the
    baby silk daily skin protection
    moisturizing balm—
    to smooth dry skin and
    leave it feeling
    calm!

  3. Ruth young says:

I like the fact that it is made from doctors and moms because they know what we want and what we really need. It seems a little expensive but sounds like a good product. If it worked on my face, it would be cheaper than what I use now.

  4. Marge Bell says:

I would try this with my boys even though they are older. My husband Shawn is a red head and gave them his sensitive skin so I know what you are going through. I saw the lotion, that would be good too in the winter even though the boys hate it when I put it on them. BOYS! argh

  5. Linda Sanchez says:

I would like to try this soap. I saw they have other soaps too that would be nice to try for my daughter.

  6. Patricia Stewart says:

my son is super allergic to a lot of cleansers. I have never heard of this company and would like to try this or other products.

  7. Michelle says:

I’d love to win and try this with my daughter. No skin sensitivities here, but it sounds like a nice product and I like that it doesn’t have all of the extra things added like most brands and products. I’d also like to try their sunscreen towelettes. I hate trying to rub sunscreen on little ones and it’d be simpler to just use those.

  8. Lisa Williams says:

I would love to try this for my son who has eczema. I have a hard time finding things for him. This would be GREAT!!!

  9. Jean MacDonald says:

My granddaughter has sensitive skin and I bet this would be good stuff. The whole website looks wholesome.

  10. Tammy Hall says:

I give this a big thumbs up because it is hypoallergenic, that is what I look for in a product. It is hard to find a hypoallergenic diaper cream so I think I will have to try that too but I really hope I can win this so I can try MDMOMS first but it really looks like a good safe product for my baby girl.

  11. Bobbi says:

MDMoms is new to me but I would like to try the cleanser. I went to the website and the moisturizing balm for baby massage looks good too, this really relaxes my baby but some lotions are too heavy.

  12. Mary Potts says:

We would like to try the body wash. We have dry skin. The silky powder seems like a neat product since it goes on in a liquid form too.

  13. Peggy Walker says:

You have great giveaways, this is good because we can it before we buy it if we win which I clearly would like to do. ha ha My baby can only use products for sensitive skin, I hope he outgrows it. I would not mind trying the baby wipes too but I would only use on his face since they are so expensive but I hate to use regular baby wipes on my baby boy’s face.
