This weather has sure been strange and our family has seemed to be “getting over a cold” for a few weeks now. When J-Girl is sick she is not a happy camper and it is makes for a long day at home for both of us. During the day it is better since I can be with her playing and reading books but at night I really am anxious and I don’t sleep very well. Hearing her cough and be congested over the monitor is difficult for me.
I have lots of nurses and other medical related family and friends who think that well she just has a cold so give her some Motrin or Tylenol and use a humidifier in her room. Easy Peasy. Right!? Well, being a researcher at heart I wanted to see what other options were available instead of our usual routine. J-Girl loves the natural grape flavor and it has helped immensely at night for her coughing. I have also noticed that in the morning her voice is not as hoarse and dry. I have been using the Zarbee products for the past few nights and have seen a huge improvement! I am glad that I have found a product that is safe to give her along with other medicine or just on its own and know that it is helping her feel better.

Zarbee’s has just recently introduced a new product and I was able to try it out as well. Their new Cough & Sleep Drink is also another option to use when your kiddos are not feeling well. The Safe and Natural Drink is effective for children 2 years+ and helps relieve sore throats and coughing while promoting healthy sleep with a small amount of melatonin (.5 mg). As I mentioned earlier, hearing J-Girl coughing and then waking herself up numerous times throughout the night is just not fun and I can say that having her have one 2 oz. serving before bedtime has helped her get a good nights rest with less waking up. I also love the fact that our whole family can use these products!
Zarbee’s cough & sleep drink is also Gluten, dye & preservative free, there are no drugs or alcohol in the formula and they are safe and effective when used once per day, before bedtime for ages 2 years+.
