The only reason it isn’t their #1 Best Curling iron is because of the price. At $84.99, it is a little steep for most. However, for a product that works so well and has a 2 year warranty, most would agree it is worth it. It is an investment in looking good that will last a long time.
Flat Iron Experts did the research and people really favor the BaByliss Tourmaline Curling Iron for many reasons. Many people(including me!) feel that the BaByliss iron gives longer lasting curls compared to a non Tourmaline or ceramic curing iron. I have thick hair, with non tourmaline curling irons, I was always disappointed. I’d curl my entire head of hair for 20 min or so and it would look gorgeous for about…2 hours, then the curls would start to fall out, by the end of the day, my curls were gone to just a bit of a wave. What a waste of time. If I went out at night, I’d have to curl my hair all over again! With the BaByliss Pro Tourmaline Ceramic Curling Iron, it takes me less time to curl and I still have curls from the day before! My curls last and last until I wash them out.
As you can see, I used the iron on both our hair but had different results. For my daughter’s hair, I took larger sections of hair and didn’t leave the iron on for very long at all to get large curls with lots of body instead of the tighter curls that I have. If you hold the iron on even longer than I did and take smaller sections, you can get even tighter curls with this one product. The 1″ barrel is a very versatile size curling iron to purchase for many different styles.
It is so easy to use and curls my hair fast. I like the extra features like the extra long cord and swivel, making it easy to curl my own hair or my daughters without being confined to 2 feet from the outlet! The power button is recessed, making it impossible to accidentally turn your iron off while using it, something I’ve been known to do with other irons often!
This curling iron is totally adjustable to your hair texture and needs with 40 heat settings. I hang around 300 F but it goes up to 428! I like it because I can adjust it to a lower heat setting when I curl my daughter’s baby fine hair.
The Tourmaline Ceramic technology emits negative ions that will eliminate static electricity, something we all could use help with in the winter! Plus, it gives your hair a shinier look and causes less damage to the cuticle with the far-infrared heat.

Styling Spray
