Did you know that most moisturizing body washes actually strip your skin’s own natural moisture while cleansing your skin? This damages your skin cells, leaving you with dry, itchy skin. To combat this, we pour on lotions to try fix it, only the lotions sit on top of the skin, not penetrating down.
Over the next couple months, I’ll be sharing with you a couple new Dove products that are proven to moisturize while cleansing your skin better than the leading brands. The new Dove Nourishing Body Washes actually helps your skin absorb the 100% natural moisturizers of NutriumMoisture. Dove Nourishing Body Wash leaves your skin moisturized, soft, smooth, and beautiful with NutriumMoisture.
Does your body wash actually moisturize your skin?
Do you think your moisturizing body wash moisturizes your skin as well as Dove? Compare what you use against Dove now. You might be very surprised that other moisturizing body washes are still striping away moisture from your skin.
What did you find? Although I use Dove soaps, I normally use Aveeno for body wash because it is marketed to be gentle, moisturizing, etc. Well, the proof is in the experiment – it actually stripped away moisture in the test video above. Guess it has been doing that to my skin as well. The Dove body wash didn’t. Goodbye Aveeno, Hello Dove Body Wash.
I’m a Dove Mom Ambassador
I just became a Dove Mom Ambassador and I’m so excited! I have always liked Dove soaps, hair care, and deodorants because they are gentle on my sensitive skin, are of good quality, and always affordable. I also like the Dove Campaign for Real Beauty of real people over the past couple years.
Dove Sensitive Skin Nourishing Body Wash Review
I was just sent a couple samples of Dove Nourishing Body Wash to try out. I use Dove products already because they are gentle on my skin. I was happy to add this body wash to my morning routine because it promises more moisturized skin – something we can all use during this bitter cold winter weather.
I first tried the Dove Sensitive Skin Nourishing Body Wash since I try to use primarily unscented products because of my sensitive, fair skin. I’ve only been using it for a few days so far. What I first noticed and liked was that it lathers up so nicely. Many mild cleansers don’t lather up and for me, if it doesn’t lather, I don’t feel clean. I’ve learned that you don’t need to use a lot because it lathers up so nicely.
My skin feels so smooth and soft after using it. However, it washes clean, it doesn’t leave a slimy residue. This is because of the ingredient Glycinate that makes the body wash lather and rinse away like a soap. Glycinate is normally only found in high-end facial care products. Dove Nourishing Body Wash is only about $5, making it affordable for all.
Next, I’ll try to the Dove Deep Moisture Nourishing Body Wash which is made the same with but promises even more moisturizing. If you know me at all, you know I’m highly sensitive to smells and scents. I haven’t tried it yet but by smelling it in the bottle, it smells lovely. We’ll see if I can use it or not. Otherwise, I’m sure my kids can use it. Actually, I’m going to be sure to try it on their skin because they never use lotion – they think lotion is torture – so this might be really helpful for their winter-dry skin!
You can buy the Dove Nourishing Body Wash locally in the Akron area at Giant Eagle, Walmart, Target, CVS, and Walgreens. Find your nearest location here or buy online at Amazon.com.
