I’ve never tried a dry shampoo before, nor have I thought about the benefits of such a product. I had the opportunity to review the Pravana Naturceuticals Fresh! Volumizing Dry Shampoo.

I was skeptical at first, I love the feeling of clean, fresh hair so I wash it every morning. I hardly ever leave the house without washing my hair first. Lately, we’ve been getting up late and rushing Elijah and Elizabeth to VBS, Dance, or Soccer. On those days, I won’t return home until noon, with my nasty hair. So, this morning we were running late so I decided to try the dry shampoo with a real life application.

My hair felt dirty with yesterday’s hair styling products and a bit oily. I sprayed the Pravana Naturceuticals Fresh! Volumizing Dry Shampoo at the root of my hair throughout. It’s actually quick a burst of product. Hmm. I was surprised. It was quite invigorating on my scalp. My head had a calm, cooling sensation that lasted for a good 1/2 hour.

My hair did not feel like it had yesterday’s styling products on it. It really feels soft and clean. With this product, you can style your hair as usual after using the dry shampoo. I did not style it since I was running out the door. I was able to leave the house without pulling my hair in a ponytail to conceal my ‘dirty’ hair though. You couldn’t tell that I didn’t wash my hair with water and shampoo. I actually had Clean, fresh hair without using water!

The scent was a very fresh, clean scent. I was happy that the scent did not linger all day as I usually can’t handle many scents because of my allergies. This scent did not bother me at all.

All in all, this product produced effective results to my surprise. It turns limp, oily hair into clean, fresh, lightweight and volumous hair!

Every mom should have a bottle of this for those rushed days, for traveling, camping, or just to freshen up after a busy day before going out in the evening!
