5 Tips for Healthy, Glowing Skin During Cold Weather

With cooler weather here, our skin can become dry and flaky in no time due to forced air heat indoors and extreme cold wind chills outside. It is time to switch up your skincare routine to have healthy, glowing skin the during cold weather of Fall and Winter. Below are a tips to avoid dry, tight, flaky skin this season.

Stay Hydrated

There are actually more cases of dehydration in the colder months because our bodies have to work harder to humidify the air we breathe outside to warm our bodies up. Plus, we often skip drinking water because we feel less thirsty, sweat less, and even the dry air inside our homes and offices can trigger dehydration. Think of what it is doing to our skin! Always keep a bottle of water with you to drink throughout the day and at meal time. Water helps maintain your skin’s health.

You can also use humidifiers to add moisture back to our home or office, they come in all sizes. This added moisture will help keep your skin from drying out which can give you the healthy glow and dewy look you want.

Gently Exfoliate

During cooler weather, your skin cells can dry out, creating a rough, dry texture.
