Skin Free Skincare Review

picture of Skin Free Skincare

I have always had to use a lot of lotion to keep my skin moisturized, I seriously cannot go a day without lotion or my skin starts to hurt. In this post, I will tell you how I went from aching, itchy, and even bleeding skin to beautiful, soft, restored skin.

What saved my skin? Skin Free Skincare saved my skin and restored it better than ever. I could not be more pleased with the results. Let me tell you about Skin Free Skincare.

About Skin Free Skincare

Pharmacist Julie Hilton recognized a need in the market for people with skin issues including people with atopic dermatitis, eczema, psoriasis, diabetes, renal disease, pregnant women, babies, the elderly, patients treated with radiation therapy, and those with dry, sensitive skin.  Skin Free Skincare was developed  as a natural product to fill that need.

What makes Skin Free Skincare so special? It is pharmacist formulated and doctor recommended for the following reasons: (taken from Skin Free website)

  • All Natural, Vegan Ingredients
  • No Perfumes
  • No Petroleum Products
  • No Harmful Chemicals
  • No Steroids
  • No Colorants
  • No Greasy feeling
  • No Animal Testing, Cruelty Free

Hands-On Review of Skin Free Skincare

I just moved from the suburbs with city water to the country with well water. I’ve been journaling my experiences. Some things I expected but I did not expect a huge change the condition of my skin. My skin started to ache and itch, I used more and more lotion. My skin really dried out and began to bleed very easily when brushed against or scratched. I wasn’t sure what to do! I contribute all of this to the change from city water to very soft well water and due to the fact that we came from a house with a whole house humidifier and now have none.

Skin Free Skincare could not have come at a better time for my sore, itchy, bleeding skin.  I was desperate and hoping this would help my skin.

Extra Moisturizing Soap & Shampoo Bar

picture of Skin Free Extra Moisturizing SoapFirst, I tried the Extra Moisturizing Soap & Shampoo Bar. It’s been awarded the National Eczema Association Seal of Acceptance in 2008 so it is a proven product. The box states to keep the bar out of the shower after use to dry out and I can tell you why. It suds up like no other bar soap I’ve ever tried. You barely have use any on a washcloth and it is full of creamy foam. It lathers up very easily and goes on the skin smooth. It would wash away if left in the shower for use after use. There is absolutely no scent which is great for us with perfume allergies. My skin feels smooth, moisturized, and refreshed, not tight.

The ingredients are all natural: Saponified oils of Coconut, Palm,  and Extra Virgin Olive Oil,  Shea Butter, and Vitamin E.  The Extra Virgin Olive Oil contains anti-oxidants and natural vitamins to heal and sooth the skin. You can also use the bar soap as a shampoo.

Super Moisture Body Balm

What I hoped would save my skin was the Super Moisture Body Balm. I popped open the cap and poured the contents on my hand, expecting a lotion and found a liquid oil moisturizer. I immediately read the back of the bottle to find that most lotions only contain 5% oil with 95% water, additives, etc. This product  is 100% natural oils and butters. 1 single ounce of this product is like 20 ounces of traditional lotions.

The Super Moisture Body Balm has a natural, nutty smell when applied, probably from the Almond and Macadamia oils. Less is more with this product. With traditional lotions, I have to apply a LOT of cream on my sensitive skin to get any kind of relief. With Super Moisture Body Balm, I only use about 1/2 Tablespoon for my entire body.  After using this product just 1 time, my itchy skin was finally relieved!

Our Super Moisture Body Balm™ contains – Olea Europea (Olive) Seed Oil, Prunes Amgdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Macadamia ternifolia Seed Oil, Butyrospermum parki (Shea Butter) Fruit, Theobroma cacao (Cocoa) Seed Butter, Glycine soya (Soy) Oil, Tocopherol (Vitamin E)

LiteMoisture for Blemish Prone Skin

picture of Skin Free Lite MoistureLastly, I used the LiteMoisture for Blemish Prone Skin on my face and neck. It has a mild, sweet vanilla and nut scent when applied that did not bother my perfume allergies. After it dried on my skin, I had no hint of the fragrance.  Having blemish prone skin, it is a hard balance between having moisturized skin without causing a breakout. The Lite Moisture for Blemish Prone Skin is formulated for such skin. The Niaouli essential oil in combination with the Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil and Macadamia Nut Oil balance blemish prone skin.

The LiteMoisture felt cool and fresh on my skin, like it was opening my pores. The product is creamy and you only need to use a tiny bit. My face did not break out with this product after using for 2 weeks, it feels smooth and soft. Although the product doesn’t claim to heal bumps, I have a testimony. I have had a small bump under my right eyelid for more than a year. It would not go away. I had planned on finally seeing a dermatologist to see if it was infected skin or even cancerous. After using LiteMoisture for 1 week, the bump under my eye was gone! I don’t know how but I believe LiteMoisture healed my skin. I did not change anything else with my face care routine.

Ingredients: Our Lite Moisture for Blemish Prone Skin contains – Aqua (water), Olea Europea (Olive) Seed Oil, Macadamia terrifolia Seed Oil, Emulsifying Wax, Stearic Acid, Melaleuca quinquenervia viridiflora (Naiouli) Oil, Vanilla Fragrance, and Sodium Hydroxymethylglycinate.

I recommend Skin Free Skincare

Before using Sin Free Skincare, my skin was in such terrible shape that I thought about it all day. For 2 weeks, my skin got worse and worse. It was extremely itchy to the point of aching and bleeding. I found immediate results with Skin Free Skincare. My skin is better than ever after using Skin Free Skincare.
