There is a lot to fall in love with on the new 2013 Ford Escape. Once you get past the newly redesigned exterior, there is plenty to enjoy on the inside. It is the inside that counts, right?
Mom-Friendly 2013 Ford Escape Features
There are so many intuitive features on the new 2013 Ford Escape that makes life easier for moms. For instance, when you are loading up the back of the car, you have two choices for opening the liftgate. First, use the foot-activated liftgate located under the back bumper to open the liftgate door. Simply move your foot under the bumper and the door lifts up. Or use MyKey. Simply click the lifegate button twice and it automatically opens for you. With MyKey, you can You can even customize your MyKey to restrict the vehicle’s top speed, limit entertainment system’s audio, and set your MyKey to alarm you when you go over a set speed limit.
Check out a MyKey demo for the little things that make such a difference with a new car. I love that I can open, lock, sound the alarm, open the back, and more with MyKey!
I also like the available Intelligent 4WD System that alerts you of cross-traffic to keep you and your family protected while on the road. An audible and visual alarm alerts you when you are too close to a vehicle or other object while driving on the road or in a parking lot. The active park assist feature allows you to parallel park your car with the push of a button, this is a fantastic feature for city dwellers.
The interior is spacious and designed for easy access for the driver to everything. There are large gauges at the forefront for easy monitoring.

Keep your life together with the SYNC with MyFord Touch. SYNC offers an 8″ LCD center touch screen, dual USB ports and more. Use voice commands or touch button for everything from the navigation system to answering calls to listening to your music.

In the captain’s seat, you can easily control everything. The entertainment package offers high-quality sound with the available Sony Audio System featuring 355 watts of power and 10 speakers throughout. The model we reviewed was equipped with the optional Navigation System that is easy to use and a must-have for moms toatting kids all around.
The interior is comfortable with products made of soybeans. Yes, this is an eco-friendly car with products like the seat cushions and head restraints that derive from soybeans. Even the carpet is derived of recycled products like plastic bottles. We were able to review one with a leather interior, it was a beauty!

Even the stitching patterns were unique, making the new Ford Escape anything but boring. Some models even offer lumbar support and memory for up to 3 drivers, others offer adjustable lumbar support. This is great for long commutes and drives.
The 2013 Ford Escape seats 5 people. For my family of 4, it provided enough space for us all with room to spare. The front is spacious and comfortable even for my husband who is over 6 feet tall. My kids’ carseats fit secure in the back seat and they had plenty of leg room and space to sit comfortably.

You can also lay the back seats down for a large cargo space. This is perfect for active families and DIY home re-modelers like us! Fold both or just one seat down for your needs. This is fun for tailgating and taking the family to a drive-in movie too!

I can already tell my son is going to be a “car guy” because he loves checking out cars from the inside out! We’ve had a great time reviewing the all new 2013 Ford Escape. If you are considering a new car purchase, I’d suggest giving this one a good test drive!
