I fell in love with running about 6 years ago. My kids were young then and often found on my hip, which did a number on my back! After many attempts at the chiropractor, I was given the advice to run. It sounds strange to run for a backache but once I started running, I couldn’t stop and my back was completely better in no time. Years past, I got busy, and stopped running. Last month, my back totally went out, I knew what I had to do. I have to get my core stronger and for me, that means running.
While shopping for back-to-school shoes for my kids at Famous Footwear, I did something I never do this time of year. I treated myself a pair of running shoes! My old sneakers were 3 years old, which wasn’t doing any favors for my feet for walking or running!

My family shops at Famous Footwear all the time for their great selection and prices. You can’t beat their sales, especially their BOGO 1/2 off sales! Generally, it is for my kids who can’t seem to stay in one size for any amount of time, however both my husband and I shop there too.
They always have everything displayed nicely so it is easy to find the style and size you want. Plus, if the store doesn’t have an item in stock, they will ship it to you at no additional charge when ordered in store. I also found that you can check inventory at your local store for any particular shoe on the Famous Footwear website. This sure beats running from store to store to look for your size.
Reebok Women’s REALFLEX Running Shoe Review
There were so many pairs of Reebok shoes to choose from and I liked the styles of all of them. I selected the Reebob Women’s REALFLEX Running Shoe. I have large feet, size 11. The Reebok REALFLEX runs true to size and I love that it doesn’t make my large feet look even larger like some do! I feel like they make my feet look smaller even, which is important if you have large feet like me. 🙂
What I like the most about the Reebok REALFLEX running shoes is how flexible the outsole is. It makes running so natural. Some running shoes are hard with creases when your foot bends. The REALFLEX moves with your feet, including the grooves on the bottom on the shoe. Check out the bottom of the REALFLEX, you can see exactly how it flexes with your every step. 
It has a padded collar, making it cushioned against the top of my foot. I’ve had issues with other running shoes with this particular area, making them uncomfortable to wear. It was nice to have this feature built into the Reebok REALFLEX. The multi-color shoe laces are so stylish and fun too.
Once I put the REALFLEX on, I knew it was the running shoe for me. It was so comfortable! The footbed has a supportive and shock absorbing cushion that is great for running, especially on hard concrete sidewalks. It makes running easier on my feet and body.
I have purchased the Reebok brand in the past for myself, but not for a very long time. I had no idea that they has such an impressive selection of running shoes. I was surprised at how comfortable the REALFLEX were and at the affordable pricing at Famous Footwear.
Now, I have no excuses. The Reebok REALFLEX running shoes have inspired me to get back into running. I won’t be at my all-time high of 11 miles for quite a while but I’m already working on running 2 miles again. It is amazing what a good pair of running shoes can do for a person. I see these shoes as a turning point for me. I know that running will not only strengthen my core and back, but give me overall better health. I have gained some weight over the past several years and I know running will shed it quickly.
On another note, generally running shoes are great for running but not for walking. I’ve been wearing my Reebok REALFLEX running shoes while running errands because they are so comfortable! They are my go-to shoe and my feet are loving it!
