When my husband and I were newlyweds, we adopted our first baby, our beloved dog, Arnold. He is a loyal, playful dog with a squinky eye and full as soft as a puppy. He is now 12-1/2 years old, with a heart condition. I’m afraid that he won’t be with us long, which saddens our hearts.
For our kids’ sake, we decided that we should introduce a new puppy into our family to help ease the pain that we all know is coming. 🙁 We adopted a 8 week old boxer mix puppy from the Medina SPCA last week. Roxy has quickly found a place in all of our hearts. She has also brought renewed interest in life to Arnold.
Feeding Two Dogs!
One the day of Roxy’s adoption, we received a sampling of Cesar Canine Cuisine. Cesar Cuisine is tailored to meet the needs of small to medium size dogs with tempting flavors that dogs of all sizes will droll for, including Porterhouse Steak and Rotisserie Chicken! Before our puppy entered our home, we provided dry dog food for Arnold. He had access to his food 24/7. This has worked well for him until lately where he has barely touched his food and has lost 4 pounds, loss of appetite is part of his condition. I wanted to try providing him canned or soft dog food, so this was perfect timing.
Since we have had our new puppy, this last week has changed our meal time routine. Every morning, both Arnold and Roxy receive a portion of their dry dog food mixed in with Cesar Meaty Selects canned dog food. Each evening, we repeat the process. For a mid-day lunch, we give them Cesar Savory Delights. Our dogs love the meaty, flavorful recipes from Cesar. They both are happy eaters!
Cesar Savory Delights
Today, I’d like to tell you about Cesar Savory Delights, I’ll talk about the Meaty Selects in my next post. Cesar Savory Delights come in Rotisserie Chicken, Rosemary Chicken, Porterhouse Steak, Filet Mignon, and Ham & Egg flavors. The size is just 3.5 oz, perfect for a mid-day lunch for my 47lb adult dog and 10 lb puppy.
My dog, Arnold enjoyed the Rotisserie Chicken for lunch today. He could easily eat 4 or 5 of these trays! It is recommended to feed 3-1/2 to 4 trays daily per 10lb dog. So, this is just a snack for my big guy.

Since the puppy’s arrival and the arrival of Cesar Canine Cuisine, he is eating all of his dry, Cesar Savory Delights, and Cesar Meaty Selects dog food at every meal!! At this rate, we hope that his weight loss will at the very least slow down due to his condition, if not even stop. 🙂 At this point, I feel like if my aging dog does get worse, I can skip the dry food and feed him only Cesar Savory Delights because he enjoys it and it is easy for him to eat and digest. I’m so glad we were introduced to Cesar Canine Cusine.
