In my last post, I told you about how we drove the Ford Explorer onto the beach in Corolla, NC with the wild horses. I was so fearful that we would get stuck, mostly because it wasn’t our car. Well, without any test runs, I video taped my husband pulling the vehicle out of the sand. See for yourself.
I was relieved that the Ford Explorer didn’t even consider the sand as a challenge whatsoever. It just pulled right out of the deeper sand and onto the more compressed sand that is where most people drive.
So, feeling courageous and confident in the Ford Explorer, we didn’t drive back on the “easy” sand, we headed for the deeper sand.
If you’ve never driven a car on the beach, you gotta try it, it’s just plain fun!
We loved hanging out on the beach, tailgating with a delicious seafood dinner inside. It was 102 degrees but Ford provided just enough shade accompanied by the ocean breeze to create an unforgettable experience.
This was not a paid post. My own opinions were used based on my perceptions and experience. Thank you to Ford Media Fleet who provided the car for review.
