We just received this note from Mrs. Hendrickson about how our donation continues to help her students 4 years later! See what she’s working on now to better educate our Akron, Ohio students and donate – no donation is too small! DONATE NOW to help Akron teachers!
It is time for SONIC’s Limeades for Learning Fall Voting campaign in which they donate $1 million to support public school teachers! I love how SONIC allows people like you and me to participate in this awesome program by voting on teacher projects and/or donating. The projects with the most votes at the end of each week in October will receive funding!

Plus, when you vote 10 times, you earn 2 extra votes via email. What a fun and easy way to support a public school teacher project that you believe in!
SONIC has donated $10.4 million to public school teachers over the past decade – that is a lot of money going to support our schools and classrooms our kids are in. There are many worthy projects on LimeadesForLearning.com that would love your vote and support – search by city and state or by subject! Let’s show these teachers how much we support their hard work and devotion to our children in the classrooms.
There are currently 2 teachers with projects that needed supported right here in Akron, Ohio!
They need your votes!! Ms. Withrich is looking for support in 3 projects:
Chromebooks for underprivileged students to break the cycle of poverty by empowering them with the best education and preparation for their future.
Creativity & Crafts to build creativity and confidence in poverty stricken Title 1 school children.
Healthy Snacks to fuel kids minds and body to get ready to learn. Many kids come to school hungry, this teacher wants to have a snack basket full of options to help kids get through the night at home as many don’t get dinner nightly.
Mrs. Hendrickson is also an amazing teacher in Akron, Ohio. Her project is also to prevent hunger in her students. She has a beautiful program in which kids ‘earn’ the opportunity to ‘buy’ snack items with tickets they earn during the week. Kids that have full tummies have a better chance at learning! I love this program, she’s rewarding acts of kindness, good behavior, and exceptional work while also satisfying a need for snacks for her students. I was given the opportunity to donate $200 to her $263 project. What a blessing for me to be able to help a teacher with such a good heart! How awesome would it be if one of our AkronOhioMoms.com readers finishes this project for her with the remaining $63! Once it is fully funded, her classroom will receive the entire list of snacks and prizes in December!
Ms. Withrich and Mrs. Hendrickson are both doing God’s work if you ask me, feeding and caring for children in need – in addition to teaching. They both deserve our votes and support. In fact, beyond voting daily for both of these fine teachers, you can also donate directly to their project with the Donate button on their pages through DonorsChoose.org.
