So far this Winter, Ohioans have been very lucky with very limited snow fall. This weekend, Winter certainly blew in with tons of snow! If you weren’t prepared with a snow thrower, you were shoveling and shoveling and shoveling all weekend long! We were excited to finally be able to try out our new snow thrower by Husqvarna.
Husqvarna Snow Thrower Review
When I think of the brand, Husqvarna, I think of high quality. The Husqvarna ST121E is no exception. This is one powerful snow thrower that is easy to use and takes up very little space in your garage!
I am one of those women who actually loves to be outside, I get it from my mom. One of my favorite childhood memories is of building a super cool igloo with my mom for hours and hours outside. I still love being outside sledding with my kids and even clearing the driveway! That being said, my husband usually does clear our driveway and he was happy to check out our new Husqvarna ST121E.
The first thing that we noticed was the rotating snow chute rotator. In the control area, where you hold the snowthrower, there is a manual crank that you can rotate to change the direction that you are throwing your snow. This is simple and quick to use. Plus, it saves you time from walking to the front of the snow thrower (and into the deep snow) every time you want to change the direction that you are blowing snow. This is a super feature!
The below picture was taken early on Saturday before all the snow pounded us. We were so excited to get out and start using the snow thrower! It worked really well with just a few inches and again when we used it this morning with another 6 inches! With all the snow we are getting, I think I’ll take another picture to show how it worked in the deeper snow too.
With our limited daylight hours in the Winter, another feature that Husqvarna boasts are LED lights! Now, you can clear your driveway before going to work on those dark, early mornings. Or, when you get home after 5pm and it’s dark outside! The LED Lights work really well, who knows why manufacturers never thought of this before!
As much as I say that I like to be outside in the snow, sometimes it is really nice to get the chores of clearing your driveway and sidewalks done, especially on single digits temperature days. The Husqvarna ST121E clears a path width of almost 2 feet (21 inches) at a time! You’ll have your drive cleared in no time!
Currently, we only have a 1 car garage – a 2 car garage is on our home remodeling list but it is way down at the bottom! So, space is at a premium in our garage. This snow thrower is compact and doesn’t take much space at all.
