My Purex UltraPacks Test
My husband and son just came back from a camping trip. They had muddier than muddy clothes with the ground in smell of a smokey bonfire. Would the Purex UltraPacks in Free & Clear work? This was an excellent test. I honestly thought that it may not get the smell out, I had no doubts it would get the mud out because the traditional Purex detergent works great. I was right about the mud and not about the smoke. One single Purex UltraPack cleaned several pairs of muddy jeans and two heavy smokey winter coats.

Why I will buy Purex UltraPacks
For me, this looked to be a convenience type of product from the beginning. I have been using it for my laundry for the past several days. Yes, it’s easier! I just throw the Purex UltraPack into my washer, add my clothes and go!
I like the convenience but normally don’t buy a product based solely on that. Then I started to realize that not having to measure the laundry detergent is a benefit of the ultrapacks but it is more than that.
I don’t measure my laundry detergent. I usually just pour it in the dispenser and guess at it. I don’t like the mess of it or the time it takes to do that extra step. I usually have 5-8 loads of laundry waiting on me AND I’m doing 1/2 million other things at the same time. Who has time to measure laundry detergent?
So, am I using too much? Probably, because I don’t want to have dirty clothes. This isn’t good for my clothing, washing machine, or budget. So, in the end, I feel like even if the Purex UltraPacks are a bit more expensive, it might actually save people like me money.
