There are so many things on our to-do lists as moms. Oftentimes we put ourselves last after taking care of our family’s many needs. One thing that I have learned is that moms matter. If we don’t take care of ourselves, how can we expect to take good care of our families?
Easier said than done, right? As we rush to get out kids ready in the morning and at night, it is easy to be less than adequate in our own personal care. It’s time that we remember that we are important too. We wouldn’t let our kids slack in personal care and we can’t allow ourselves to either.
In celebration of National Women’s Health Week (May 8-14, 2016), Colgate Total is inviting women across the country to pledge to put their health first. Will you take the pledge? If it makes you feel better, you can tell yourself that you are doing this for your kids. 😉 I don’t take selfies – ever – unless it is with my kids. However, I did in honor of National Women’s Health Week.
Seriously, one essential aspect of caring for our health is taking care of our teeth. I write about oral health often because it goes beyond a pretty white smile. Oral health impacts your overall-health as well. There are direct connections between oral health and cardiovascular disease, endocarditis (heart), pregnancy and birth weight, diabetes, osteoporosis, Alzheimer’s disease, complications for those with HIV/AIDS, and more.
One effective way to put your health first is making the switch to Colgate Total Daily Repair products.
I’ve used Colgate products most of my adult life. What makes Colgate Total Daily Repair unique from others is that it actually repairs early teeth and gum damage while strengthening teeth and of course, fighting plaque! With Colgate, I know that I’m protecting my smile from plaque, gingivitis, tarter build-up, cavities, and bad breath.
I encourage you to take the pledge to better health, try Colgate Total Daily Repair and then post your best #MyColgateSelfie on social media. Tag @AkronOhioMoms too!
