Don’t Forget to Pack This for #RoadTrips

pack kids medications for road trips

We just returned from sunny California for our Kidifornia summer vacation – what a whirlwind of fun! The theme of “Kidifornia” is all about traveling with kids and experiencing all that California has for kids. The one thing I made sure I packed was medication for my kids – for just in case. Otherwise, how could I relax pool-side?

Don’t Forget to Pack Pfizer Pediatric Products for Road Trips

We stayed at a dude ranch that was a million miles from nowhere…well, not literally but it was a hour’s drive to the dearest pharmacy! It isn’t possible to run to the store if your child has a fever or needs cough medication. Before the ranch, we were in Death Valley. There are no stores in Death Valley for anything, let alone children’s medication.

Even if you aren’t going to a remote location for vacation, being prepared is not only a good idea but a necessity! pack kids medications for road tirpsMy kids seem to always get sick while we are traveling, so I’ve learned to pack a few key medications including Children’s Advil, Children’s Robitussin 12 Hour Cough Relief, and Children’s Dimetapp Multi-Symptom Cold Relief.  I don’t want to have to go shopping for medications while on vacation – especially if I’m in a place that requires driving far! It’s just better to be ready and be prepared ahead of time.

I always pack Children’s Advil, even if I’m just going as far as Cedar Point in Sandusky.  Children's-Advil for raodtripsI don’t even want to be an hour away from home without it. Children’s Advil helps with reducing fevers for children ages 2-11, it also helps with aches and pains.  Check out all of the flavors, they even have dye-free white grape.

I also never leave home without Children’s Robitussin because it offers 12 hours of cough relief – you can’t get this from most children’s cough medication. Robitussin for road tirpsWith 12 hours of relief, I can give it to my child just once during the day and then once at night. It provides control and relief for children ages 6 and up. It’s also available in a couple flavors.

There is nothing worse than a runny nose – especially when you are on a road trip. You never know what the climate and pollen levels are going to be while traveling even a hour away! If your kids are like mine with allergies, you’ll want to pack Children’s Dimetapp. It is good for both allergies and cold relief for children ages 6 and up.Dimetapp for roadtrips

By preparing in advance by packing a few Pfizer Pediatric products, your child will feel much better if they fall sick while on your next trip. Plus, you won’t have to stress over finding a pharmacy while on vacation. I was able to relax pool-side because I came prepared with everything in my Thirty-One New Day Tote, a good bag is another must-have item while traveling!)

Of the three products I packed, we had to use both the Children’s Advil for headaches and Children’s Dimetapp for a hit of allergy problems in Las Vegas.  Who knew we’d have seasonal allergies in the dry climate of Vegas?! I was thankful that I packed allergy medication for myself too because I was seriously allergic to something there – cactus maybe? Who knows. It is just best to be prepared.
