My dog Roxy and I were able to check out Banfield Pet Hospitals this week. Don’t worry, all is well and she was given a clean bill of health! We were visiting Banfield to check out their wellness plans for preventive care. You may not have heard of Banfield Pet Hospitals but I bet you’ve been to one and never knew it. Most Bainfield locations are located right inside PetSmart stores!
How convenient, you can buy all your pet supplies at the same place your pet is cared for – plus they offer very convenient evening and weekend hours. The facility was clean, comfortable, and spacious. We were greeted by the very friendly and animal loving staff right away upon entering. They just loved Roxy and all her curious behaviors! Banfield Pet Hospitals have their own entrance as well as through the store.

We started off with a full exam!
While at Roxy’s exam physical, they tested Roxy for heartworms with a simple blood test, she was negative. Thank goodness because treatment of heatworm for dogs and cats can be very painful, potentially fatal, and expensive. It just takes one infected mosquito bite for your dog to get heartworm. Scary stuff! It is recommended to have your dog or cat tested annually.
