My son has 4 crested geckos and a milk frog that require their terrariums to be misted down twice daily. For instance, his crested geckos need about 60-80% humidity – too much could cause mold growth that can make your pet sick and too little and your crested gecko could have difficulty shedding their skin, plus it is a source of water.
What I like about the Zoo Med Repti Rain is that you can program the machine to mist according to your pet’s needs. There are 4 programmable spray intervals to mist down your enclosure every 1/2 hour, 3 hours, 6 hours, or 12 hours. Plus, you can customize even more by setting the duration of 15, 30, 45, or 60 seconds of spray.
My son has his Repti Rain programed for every 12 hours to spray for 30 seconds. This gives his crested geckos 60% humidity. It is so easy. Simply fill the reservoir with water (holds 28 oz), program it, and go.

You can mount the Repti Rain easily on the outside of your enclosure with the provided 4 point suction cups. It is really secure. Right now, he has his attached to a vivarium that he has created for another future pet. He is always on the hunt for a new pet – it is his hobby!
