In an average month, I shoot at least 500 photos and keep around 300 – this doesn’t count the photos I take for product reviews! As a mom, I want to capture every amazing thing my kids do. I want to preserve those memories.

I was very excited to hear about and try out LiveOn. This is a solution to my fears and a way to share my photos securely. LiveOn is a virtual scrapbook where you can upload photos and videos on a secure site. You can arrange your photos and videos in albums. What makes this better than a scrapbook is that you can add an audio description or typed comments for each photo. You can even add songs. Add a title page for your album or a webcam video introduction. This adds so much more of “you” to your photos.
Each “Memory” or album that you create is added to your life’s timeline.
There is little time needed to learn how to use this program. There are video tutorials that walk you through creating a “Memory”. You can upload files from either your harddrive or from Facebook. Simply sign in to facebook, drag and drop photos from the album of your choice.
Or drag and drop from your computer. Once uploaded, you can easily rearrange your photos by dragging and dropping. Add as many or as few photos as you like.
Once your Memory is created, you can share it with your Tribe. Your Tribe consists of only those trusted friends and family that you wish to see your Memories. Your Tribe may also download full size images to print on their own. This is a great feature for out-of-town friends and family. You can also share your Memory albums through social media, but in doing so, the privacy is no longer there for that particular album as people could forward it on to other people, just like anything else you post to facebook, etc.
Another reason LiveOn is better than scrapbooks is that it is secure. A fire, hurricane, computer crash or your kid’s sticky fingers won’t destroy your photos with LiveOn. Live On promises to “keep your Memories safe forever”. And they mean it! They have a secure storage facility located 125 feet underground in caves, where the servers stay nice and cool. They monitor their systems 24x7x365, including bandwidth levels. Keycard access and biometric locks ensure the safety of your data.

I have only begun to explore all that LiveOn has to offer and I’m hooked. From adding photos and audio captions to creating a timeline for future generations to enjoy, I love it all. You can do as little or as much with this program as you like. In the end, your memories and photos will be kept safe, secure, and available for your friends and family to enjoy now and forever.
