I bought one. I read about and pre-purchased the new Kindle Fire, Full Color 7″ Multi-touch Display, Wi-Fi tablet computer from Amazon. At only $199, it was a steal- especially compared to the iPad that starts at $500.
This is a real tablet computer that runs real apps, plays real movies, connects to the Amazon library of Movies and TV shows, and allows our family to play games, read books, etc. I can’t believe the price- its really just unheard of.
What made me buy the Kindle Fire
So, you have kids, right? We have a pile- age 16 to 4. Every single one of our gang has had an experience where they’ve felt out of place because they don’t have the fanciest technology- be it at school, waiting around at football practice for a big brother, or just at home when they see 145,762 commercials about digital content, smartphones, and, well whatever.
I don’t want my kids to be behind, or not know what to do when they are thrust into using a digital device and feel dumb because they don’t know where to start. That’s why we bought this Kindle device. Mind you, it won’t be bad t be able to check email, run presentations for work, and share photos with friends and family either when at home, or at McDonalds, or at Grandma’s house out in Streetsboro.
