Health Department FREE Akron H1N1 Vaccine Offerings
Posted below are the locations in Summit County, found on the SummitFlu website.
Now that things have slowed down with H1N1 cases and many have already received the vaccine, the wait is minimal. In October, I waited 3 hours, when we went back for the second dose for my preschoolers, I waited 10 minutes.
When the free H1N1 vaccine first became available, only high risk groups were able to receive the vaccine. Now, the H1N1 vaccine is open to the general public.
The vaccine is free and will be given on a first come first served basis. People who received a seasonal Flu-Mist vaccine must wait 28 days to receive a H1N1 Flu-Mist, however, they may receive a shot. The vaccination is voluntary.
Download the Pre-registration form to save you time when you get the vaccinations.
In addition to the local clinics, the Akron Health Department is also offering appointments for the H1N1 vaccine at the Morley Health Center Adult Clinic. Call 330-375-2363.
