Mom Wise – a Women’s Community Group in Fairlawn

With school back in session and fall upon us, we’re moving from summer time craziness, back to, well normalcy.  With school in session there are many activities that start up too, especially for women.  One of them is MOM WISE, one of the Women’s Community Bible Studies from CrossPoint Alliance Church in Fairlawn.

Mom Wise

Every Thursday beginning September 8, 9:15-11:15am at the church
When it comes to being a mom,

• are you ever sure you are doing it right?
• Do you just dive in?
• Maybe say a quick prayer?

Motherhood can be pretty scary stuff!  Come meet with other moms of young children to talk, laugh, and learn how “God gently leads those with young.”
Cost:  $15
Thursday morning childcare is available, $3 per child.

There are other bible studies at the church too– check out the church website to find out more- some are in the mornings, and some overlap with the kids programs they have on Wednesday Evenings- which means FREE childcare for an hour or two 🙂

My View on What to Expect @MomWise @CrossPoint

I’ve attended CrossPoint for a while.  I’ve spent time in one of their Bible studies and have learned and grown at each and every study. The Bible Study leaders are genuine, real, and truly love God. The make up of the Bible Studies are usually about 1/2 from the church and 1/2 from the community. Everyone is very welcoming and friendly.

I spoke with the Pastor’s Wife, Dinita who will be leading MomWise last week. She is super excited about the impact this class can give to moms in the community. It will be a time for moms to talk about being moms. They will be discussing parenting issues that appear in the current newspapers and magazines. There will be a time to see what the Bible states about how we should handle similar issues. It seems like it will be a really good study. There is childcare for your babies and toddlers during the study for a minimal fee.
