A Movie for Every Mom – Moms’ Night Out

I want to be the best mom for my kids. I try everyday to be that perfect mom.

I have learned over the years that everything doesn’t have to be 100% perfect to be…perfect. When my son was a baby, I struggled with trying to keep the house like it was before we had kids, until I finally realized that it doesn’t have to be spotless, just clean. Having toys in the living room is ok – it doesn’t have to look like a magazine cover.

I am blessed to be a stay-at-home mom and have the opportunity to do many fun and exciting things with my kids, but yet I look back over the summer and wonder if I played with them enough…do I ever do enough for my kids. They are super huge blessings in my life that I thank God for everyday, I don’t want to mess up, I don’t want to miss out on anything, I want to be the perfect mom.

And, that, is what the Moms’ Night Out movie is all about.

Moms’ Night Out Review

When I first saw the cover of Moms’ Night Out, I thought “another drunk movie where people end up in jail”. I seriously thought this was a moms gone wild type of movie where the moms are over exhausted and have a crazy night out with friends that end up in a jail.

Moms Night Out Review

It wasn’t until I read reviews when it came out in theaters that I understood that it is actually a positive movie affirming motherhood – with hysterical scenes that will make you laugh as you can relate to the craziness of it all., affirming, hysterical movie that is actually is.

What I like about this movie is that I can relate so easily. There are times when I have felt just like the moms in the movie with their toddlers and have yet to experience what it will be like with teens.

In those crazy, messy days when you don’t think you can handle another spill, another mess, another argument between your kids, we all need to step back and see that our jobs as “mom” is the most important job in the world.image5Moms’ Night Out is all about seeing beauty and significance in motherhood.  We all struggle to be the perfect mom. We look at other moms and wonder how they do it, how they can be so perfect. Guess what. They are looking at you and thinking the same thing. The truth is, we are all overwhelmed at times but what we do is important and valuable.

In Moms’ Night Out, it took a crazy night out where everything and anything that could possibly go wrong- did – for these moms to realize that where they are in their lives is exactly where they need to be for their families.

image16Moms’ Night Out offers first-class performances and drama. This is a movie that is perfect for your own moms’ night out – or with your family. My family loved the movie and laughed the entire time! It is a fast-moving, exciting, funny, and touching movie all wrapped up into one.

I loved this movie and highly recommend it to every mom and dad. It is fun for the whole family and offers the simple – yet needed – reminder that moms are important. It is a reminder of God’s love for us in a faith-based movie that isn’t too “preachy” but is real.

I’m thankful for my family and for God entrusting me to take care of the two most precious lives on Earth – Elijah and Elizabeth. I’m thankful that this movie is a reminder of that.
Moms’ Night Out has a resource area for moms to encourage moms with videos from real moms as well as additional clips from the movie. You can also find resources for dads, churches, and homeschoolers.
