With school back in session, there are so many things that you should consider laminating. School menus, keepsake art and school work, name tags, bus tags, lunch box tags, book bag tags, school schedules, sports schedules, game schedules, certificates, awards, and the list goes on and on. Just in time for Fall, we were able to review the Fellowes Saturn2 95 Laminator. I’ve never owned a laminator before so I wasn’t sure how much I’d use it, now it is my new addiction!
Fellowes Saturn2 95 Laminator Review
The Fellowes Saturn2 95 Laminator is a great way to preserve items that you want or need for an extended amount of time and for items you want to use and reuse over and over. You can preserve your kids’ special papers, pictures, and school projects forever when you laminate them. (The first time they write their name, first art project of the school year, first note to you, hand prints – can you tell I’m a mom of young kids?!) For this review, I let my kids pick out two special school papers to laminate. Once we laminated them, it was followed up by request to laminate more and more!

Simply plug it in, turn it on, and let it warn up if you are using heat laminating OR you don’t even have to let it warm up if you are using cold lamination. Simply put your paperwork in between the laminator sleeves, then feed it through the machine. It will come out the other side done in a matter of seconds! It laminates up to 12″ per minute, so about 1 minute per lamination.

The Fellowes Saturn2 95 Laminator is easy to use and fun to enjoy with the family. You can start using it right out of the box with the laminating starter kit. There is a special HeatGuard Technology that traps heat inside, making it safer to use. There are 3 buttons to select the thickness of 3-5 mil in thickness for a variety of projects for family and even small business use.
Laminating Ideas
The Fellowes website has a lot of great laminating ideas on projects you can do at home, at work, and for school using the Fellowes Saturn2 95 Laminator. For instance, some great learning and school ideas include making flash cards for colors, sight words, and math or re-useable worksheets to learn geography, letters, and more. All of these ideas are available to download and print on your home computer.
There are a lot of ideas in the Fellowes IdeaCenter for printables to use at home. For instance, you can download, print, and laminate your own Christmas gift tags, holiday frames, coasters, menu planners, Halloween tags, back pack tags, recipe cards, and more. We printed the Halloween coasters, my kids love them. We even thought that they would work great to put our names on them with a dry erase marker for home or parties. This is a fun and easy way to personalize items for parties, and then reuse them again and again.
[slickr-flickr tag=halloweencoasters]A great thing about a Fellowes Saturn2 95 Laminator is that you can make your own products that use dry erase markers for a fraction of the cost of buying these items. For instance, teaching kids to write is easy when you print and laminate the letters. Kids can trace, write, and rewrite as many times as you want without buying expensive workbooks.
