How is your Spring Cleaning going? Have you started? There is one room in my house that I have avoided since we moved in – the spare bedroom. Like many, it becomes the catch-all room. It is also our linen closet, excess office supplies closet, and gift closet. Mostly, it is just the catch-all room and closet that looks horrible. Nobody can find anything and my kids think it is fun to hide under the blankets that always fall off the narrow shelves.
Spring Cleaning and Organizing (Before Pictures)
Updated: 4-19-13 See all the before and after pictures of this Spring Cleaning and Organizing Project here.
All-in-all, it is embarrassing and needs organized! Normally, I keep the door to that room closed when guests come over – although my kids think it is the best room to play in with their friends! As embarrassing as it is, here are the BEFORE Spring Cleaning pictures.
As you can see, there are blankets, sheets, beach towels, random office binders and equipment overflowing the shelves and floor.

This cubbyhole in the corner of the closet actually has a lot of room but has shelves falling down and an overflowing plastic tote of “gifts.” It makes you want one of those gifts, right?! HA! I like to buy items that I find on clearance or a good deal for birthdays and other special occasions for my kids, nieces, nephews, etc. I also place items that I don’t really need that I review to give as gifts later. This system is flawed! I can’t find anything and something is bound to bend, break, or get ruined stuffed in that box!

Spring Cleaning and Organizing with Fellowes Bankers Boxes
I am excited to have been chosen as a Fellowes Bankers Box Stackable Storage Ambassador. I will be using a variety of sizes of Fellowes Bankers Boxes to do some serious Spring cleaning and organizing this month.
I am actually very excited to see the potential of this storage area with the lovely looking Fellowes Bankers Boxes. I already put my boxes together and am ready to tackle this project! Putting the boxes together was quite simple and are lovely with a modern black and white pattern.

I’ll report back next month with an amazing looking – and functional – closet!
