Now that the weather is starting to break, I’m eager to get outside and start gardening. This year, I’m going to start elevated gardening on my front patio. A beautiful planter with fresh herbs and flowers is going to be so welcoming as well as convenient for cooking with fresh herbs all season long.

I received a for review from a new line of modern, sustainably-crafted planters for indoors and outdoors by CedarCraft. They are all gorgeous!
We have a raised vegetable garden that we use to plant vegetables every Summer. I love to cook with fresh herbs but don’t like to take the hike down the hill while cooking. Having my Urban Garden Planter planter on the patio makes it near enough to use fresh herbs more often.
I could easily plant veggies, herbs or flowers, making it perfect for gardening in small spaces, decks, and balconies too. There is even a lower shelf to store tools.
The cedar is stunning, it is hard to believe that it is reclaimed cedar that would have been scrapped! I plan to finish mine with linseed oil – the planters come unfinished so they are totally customizable for your decor.
It is much larger than I initially thought it was going to be, giving me even more possibilities for elevated gardening.
Even though it is starting to warm up in Ohio, it’s not quite time to plant yet. However, I have found the perfect spot on our front patio for it! I plan to plant mostly herbs, with a few flowers for color.
Plus, herbs like lemon balm are a natural mosquito repellent, making our evenings on the front patio even more pleasant. It’s a good idea to include other plants that repel biting bugs including citronella, catnip, marigolds, lavender, and peppermint in any garden.
Elevated Gardening
I like elevated gardening for a number of reasons. It is sure to protect my garden from little critters but it is also nice because I won’t have to bend down to plant and upkeep my garden.
An elevated garden from Cedar Craft would be a perfect option for those with back and knee problems too. CedarCraft has a number of styles of elevated planters to choose from for any space – big or small – indoors or outdoors.
Elevated Gardening also makes it perfect for growing plants since the soil will not be stepped on and compressed, allowing more air to get to the roots.
Elevated gardening is perfect for flowers, vegetables, fruits, and herbs.
The CedarCraft new line of modern looking planters are available int 6 styles and a various sizes. One is sure to be the perfect addition to your home or to give as a gift.
My husband really appreciated that the assembly was very easy and took less than 15 minutes – with no tools required. This makes it accessible for everyone – even the not-so-handy types.
I encourage you and your family to garden this season. It has been such an enjoyable experience every year for my family with many healthy rewards as well. Check out the CedarCraft collection today.
