I love to give gifts that are a bit off the beaten path. Something meaningful and useful, but also different. I recently ran across the website “Out of Print,” and boy, am I smitten! I was thrilled when they asked me to review of few of their products that make great gifts for book lovers and pop art fans. Read on to find out how they take classic book titles and book cover art, and turn them into wearable, fun, works of art!
Tell Me More About Out Of Print
Out of Print is such a cool business! Not only are their products striking and fun, but Out Of Print also has a charitable side.
Out of Print celebrates the world’s great stories through fashion. Our products feature iconic and often out of print book covers. Some are classics, some are just curious enough to make great t-shirts, but all are striking works of art.
In addition to spreading the joy of reading through our tees and accessories, we acknowledge that many parts of the world don’t have access to books at all. We are working to change that. For each product sold, one book is donated to a community in need through our partner Books For Africa.
Be still my mission-driven heart! 🙂
Fabulous Gifts From Out of Print
Out of Print makes loads of great gifts. Long and short sleeve T-shirts, sweatshirts, tote bags, drink coasters, ebook jackets, phone cases, and even stationery!
Kids T Shirts
Does your child have a favorite book? How about Stuart Little, Babar, Charlotte’s Web, Corduroy, Frog and Toad, or The Very Hungry Caterpillar? Out of Print has them all!

My kindergartener LOVES Olivia, so we were thrilled to be able to review an Olivia t-shirt from Out of Print. Isn’t it cute?

This t-shirt features the artwork from the first edition book cover. The sizing is right on, and the shirt is 100% cotton, and the print is distressed, so it is soft on young skin.
I think these make GREAT birthday gifts! And the fact that each t-shirt purchased sends a book to a community in need makes it extra special.
Adult T-Shirts from Out of Print
Thankfully, Out of Print hasn’t forgotten us big kids! Hey, we love a fun t-shirt too! Out of Print has a huge selection of t-shirts for men and women in long and short sleeve styles. I was able to try out the Pride and Prejudice long sleeve fleece shirt. I absolutely LOVE it! My girls actually asked me if I was going to wear anything else since I wore it twice the first week I got it. LOL! It has a rough cut wide neckline that is a bit “flashdance-esque” if that is a word. It looks great with a tank underneath it peeking out at the shoulder.
I’ve been a bit under-the-weather, and although I have my Pride and Prejudice shirt on again today, I thought I’d just stick with a picture of a model wearing it, instead of a rather haggerd-looking me. 🙂

Again, the sizing is right-on. This shirt is incredibly comfortable! It’s a light-weight fleece, so it’s not bulky, but is SO cozy. It really has become one of my favorite shirts this winter. I’m sure my family will all be sick of seeing me wear it by spring! Here are some other t-shirts available from Out of Print:

I am giving my eldest brother the Wizard of Oz t-shirt, and I am so excited to give it to him! Back in the day, he was in tons of plays, and played the lion from that book more than once. He’s going to love it!
Other Great Gifts from Out of Print
So, if you don’t want to buy a wearable item from Out of Print, check out their selection of accessories. They sent me a fun set of drink coasters to review, and guess what – the case they come in is shaped like a book. Each of the 8 water-resistant coasters features a different book title.

What a fun conversation piece for the book club fanatic in your life! I’m giving mine to my cousin who is an assistant principal and avid reader. I can’t wait for her to open them! And, even the purchase of the coasters (at only $20) sends a book to someone in need.
