Walking is one of the best and safest forms of exercise. You can do it anywhere, anytime, without special equipment – besides shoes. Without the proper footwear, even daily walking can be painful – let alone pleasure or exercise walking. When you have footwear that is designed to properly align your feet, walking can be a life-long form of exercise and enjoyment.
I received a piar of walker shoes to facilitate this post.
Dr. Andrew Weil Integrative Footwear Review
This is the first time I’ve been introduced to Dr. Andrew Weil Integrative Footwear. I received the Rhythm Walker to try out. It includes a removable orthotic foot bed that has deep heel cup, arch support. The orthotic is made up of shock absorption material and cushioning. This video explains more about the construction of the shoe.
The Rhythm Walker was comfortable from the moment I put them on. It is a very light shoe for a walking shoe – comparable to a running shoe in weight. It is a mesh upper that is breathable. It offers a LOT of support, more than you would expect from a walking shoe. That is what makes Dr. Andrew Weil Integrative Footwear unique, the built-in orthotics offer more support than other insoles. I wear mine for running around town and walking trails on a nearly daily basis now.
It includes 1st Ray Flex technology which gives extra cushioning at the ball of the foot and extra traction for walking on any surface. I understand the technology but mostly just enjoy a pair of walking shoes that makes my feet, legs, and back feel great. I’ve had shoes in the past that didn’t provide the support I need. If you are a mom, you know how much we are on our feet. Even indoors, it is good to have a quality pair of shoes that will give your body the support it needs.
I love the color scheme as well. They are available in 5 different color schemes to suit your personal taste. I chose the darker color scheme for the Fall/Winter months. I think they pair better with jeans too. I can wear them more than a white sneaker since they look a little more like a casual shoe.
I can also be found climbing the jungle gym with my kids at the playground in them too! 🙂 They are my go-to sneaker because they are so comfy.
Not only does Dr. Andrew Weil footwear make you feel good, when you purchase them, you are doing good too. 50% of after tax proceeds go to benefit Dr. Andrew Weil’s Center for Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona, pioneering preventative medicine in America.
You can purchaes the Rhythm Walker in size 5-12 on the Dr. Andrew Weil website for $119.95. They come with a 30 day guarantee, so there is nothing to lose!
This was not a paid post. My own opinions were used based on my perceptions and experience. Thank you to Dr. Andrew Weil who provided the product for review.
