- 6 hard-boiled eggs
- 3 tbsp cream cheese
- 3 tsp dark cocoa powder unsweetened
- 1.5 tbsp Confectioners Sugar
- 1.5 tbsp heavy cream
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- pinch salt
- sea salt, chocolate shavings, or sprinkles optional

- Cook, cool, peel and halve eggs.
- Remove yolks and mash in a bowl.
- Mix together egg yolks, cream cheese, cream and vanilla until thoroughly mixed.
- Add the cocoa, sugar and salt. Continue to mix until well incorporated and smooth. (A food processor or mixer makes this easier.)
- Fill the whites with the egg yolk mixture.
- Garnish with a pinch of sea salt, chocolate shavings, or sprinkles.
You may increase or decrease the amount of cocoa and sugar for your preference.
Each chocolate deviled egg is contains just 1.8 carbohydrates making it very low carb.
This is an easy recipe that is fun to make and even more fun to serve! I admit that it seems kinda odd to include chocolate with hard boiled eggs but trust me, it works! Honestly, even when you bite through the white hard boiled egg, you can’t tell it is an egg. The filling is subtly sweet, perfect for a light dessert or appetizer.
