My family loves cookies more than any other dessert. I make about a dozen different kinds of cookies at Christmas and many throughout the year. My kids enjoy cooking and baking with me, they started at an early age and continue to help me in the kitchen. I highly recommend starting your kids young in the kitchen, it is a treasured time we continue to have to this day – although it does get a little crazy with a 9 year old girl and 11 year old boy! Raspberry White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Cookie RecipeYes, there is a little silliness surrounding our kitchen activities, especially when it involves cookies! That is one thing that I love about Pillsbury, they make it easy for me to prepare homemade cookies and desserts for and with my family, even on busy school nights.

Whether you use Pillsbury mixes alone or add in a few of your favorite ingredients like we did, you can make homemade desserts so easily and they taste like made-from-scratch recipes. Below, you’ll see how I just added white chocolate chips, macadamia nuts, and whole raspberries to the Pillsbury mix. This is a great step for kids to measure, pour, and stir. The ice cream scoop keeps your cookies a uniform shape too. My kids are older, so they can basically do the entire recipe because the Pillsbury Cookie Mix is so easy to prepare by only adding butter and 1 egg!kids baking Raspberry White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Cookie Recipe

Cindy’s Cookie Tips for Success

Can I use frozen raspberries? Yes! But don’t thaw them first, or the dough will get too wet and the cookies won’t hold their shape. Stir them in frozen right at the end.

How do I keep them from getting flat? Since the fruit adds moisture, chilling the dough is key! I recommend popping the dough in the fridge for at least 15-20 minutes before baking.

Are these good for shipping? Absolutely. Because of the white chocolate and nuts, they are sturdy cookies. I pack them in airtight containers to send to my kids in Athens, and they arrive perfectly chewy. They love enjoying and sharing a ‘taste of home’ with their friends.
