I recently brought a batch of homemade treats to a friend’s 50th birthday party, and they were the talk of the night—but not for the reason you might think! I named them “Fun Guy” Cookie Bars as a little play on words—partly because they are packed with healthy “fungi” (mushrooms), but mostly because we were celebrating a truly “fun guy’s” 50th birthday!
Because I’m always careful about food sensitivities, I placed a little sign next to the platter that read: “Contains Mushrooms, Nuts & Gluten.” I just wanted to warn anyone with allergies, but let’s just say the guests got the wrong idea. People were whispering and giggling, thinking I had brought “special” mushrooms to the party! It was hilarious explaining that, no, they weren’t those kinds of mushrooms—they were powerful, functional mushrooms for health. The joke stuck, though, and it proved that they are a delicious way to sneak wellness into a decadent treat without anyone being the wiser.

Instructions
Preheat & Prep: Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 15x10-inch jelly-roll pan (or a 9x13 pan for thicker bars). Mix Dry Ingredients: In a small bowl, combine the flour, QI Master powder, baking soda, and salt. Whisk well to ensure the supplement is evenly distributed and there are no clumps of powder. Cream Butter & Sugars: In a large mixer bowl, beat the butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until creamy and smooth. Add Eggs: Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Combine: Gradually beat in the flour/Qi Master mixture into the wet ingredients. Mix just until the white flour streaks disappear. Fold: Stir in the chocolate chips (and nuts, if using) by hand. Spread: Spread the dough evenly into the prepared pan. (It helps to use a spatula or floured fingers to press it to the edges). Bake: Bake for 20 to 25 minutes (or 25-30 minutes if using a 9x13 pan) until golden brown. Tip: Watch them closely near the end; a toothpick inserted into the center should come out mostly clean. Cool: Cool completely in the pan on a wire rack before cutting into squares.Recipe NotesBaker's Note on Flavor: The QI Master powder has a natural maple sugar profile. This pairs perfectly with the brown sugar in this recipe. If you prefer a less sweet cookie bar, you can reduce the white granulated sugar to ½ cup.
“Fun Guy” Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars Secret Ingredient: Qi Master
The “magic” behind these mushroom cookies is actually Qi Master. It is a new adaptogen powder from Roundhouse Provisions that is an absolute powerhouse for your health.

While the party guests were joking around, the benefits of this stuff are serious. It combines 8 organic mushrooms (like Lion’s Mane and Reishi), Rhodiolife Rhodiola Rosea, Astragalus Root, and MCTs. It is designed to support energy and stamina, a stronger, leaner body, and overall brain health.
The best part is the versatility. You don’t have to bake cookies to get the benefits (though it’s fun!).

Because it has that delicious, earthy maple flavor, I love stirring a scoop into my morning coffee, mixing it into a smoothie, or adding it to overnight oats. It is such an easy way to get that full dose of wellness without changing your entire routine.

Morning Kick: The Best Tasting Greens
If baking isn’t your thing, you can still drink your way to better health. I start every single day with Morning Kick.

This is a Strawberry Lemonade flavored drink that is honestly the best-tasting greens supplement I have ever tried—and I’ve tried a lot. It is packed with probiotics, super greens, and ashwagandha. These ingredients work together to support gut health, manage stress, and promote calmness. Even my son, who studies nutrition, and his girlfriend are obsessed with the flavor. It’s an easy, tasty win for your digestion first thing in the morning.

Vita Kick: Power Through Your Afternoon
By the time the afternoon rolls around, I usually need a pick-me-up. I use to reach for a Coke in my younger years or another cup of coffee but now I’m switching to Vita Kick. It is a Cherry Limeade formula designed to kickstart collagen production, which is vital for mobile joints and youthful skin. If you are over 40, do not pass go, you need this!

I’ve actually turned this into my favorite little “life hack” for exercise. I keep a sports bottle ready to go, and whenever I head to the gym or go for a walk in the park, I fill it with water and a scoop of Vita Kick. It gives me that extra boost to power through a workout without the crash you get from sugary energy drinks. It takes two seconds to mix, tastes amazing, and ensures I’m fueling my body while I move!
