My husband loves trying new recipes, and I just know this one will be a winner—especially with the deep chocolate flavor and that lingering warmth. If your guy is a fan of spicy food, this dessert is the perfect way to surprise him this Valentine’s Day!

- Preheat the oven: Set your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8x8-inch baking pan with nonstick spray, then line it with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal.
- Melt the chocolate and butter: Combine the chopped chocolate and melted butter in a microwave-safe bowl. Cover the bowl with a paper towel to prevent splattering, then microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth and glossy. Allow to cool slightly. Mixture should look silky and smooth.
- Mix the wet ingredients: Using a spoon, blend the sugar into the melted chocolate mixture. Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing thoroughly after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- Incorporate the dry ingredients: Gently fold in the flour and Honey'd Heat spice blend until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
- Add the chocolate chips: Fold in the dark chocolate chips for bursts of extra chocolaty goodness.
- Bake the brownies: Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly. Bake for 34 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs. If the toothpick comes out wet, bake for an additional 2 minutes, checking frequently. Do not overbake!
- Cool and serve: Allow the brownies to cool completely in the pan. Use the parchment paper to lift them out, then slice into squares.
